  WeirWood on a cold but lovely sunny mid morning. There were 16 Tufted Duck plus 35 Pochard, Wigeon, the pair of Goosanders and a few Gadwall.   3.5 hours at the east end produced 38 species. 25 GC Grebes, 180 BH Gulls, 4 Herring Gulls, 2 Canadas, 4 Egyptian Geese. Behind the dam, 9 Redwings, Fieldfare, Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush, 4 Siskins, 3 Bullfinches, 2 Chaffinches, 3 Buzzards, 2 Sparrowhawks, Kestrel, various other woodland species etc.

  WeirWood at dawn on a beautiful calm day started at the west end. Here 38 Pochards, 5 Teal, 9 Wigeon, Tufted Duck and 5 Gadwall. Good Mandarin numbers with 22 noted, some even displaying.   No sign of any Grebes at the west end in dark/Wet conditions, 43 Pochards, 7 Wigeon & 3 Coots.Unfortunately the inside of the bird hide has been trashed shutters etc all pulled off. Bobs been notified. Dam end plenty of ducks off south bank but to dull and wet to ID, Hardly any GCG seen.
