Dam End:- 1 Osprey appeared from the east over the Dam on its second attempt it caught a fish then flew south at 07:13, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Redshank, 5 Egyptian Geese, 2 Moorhen +1 juvenile, 2 Little Egrets, 2 Raven, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 13 Black-headed Gull + my first 1st summer bird, 100+ Swifts and 20 House Martins low over the water, 2 Mute Swans, 4 Mandarin, 2 Mistle Thrush, on the lagoon pair of Tufted Ducks.

West End:- 1 Little Egret, 8 Mandarin, 12 Common Tern, 2 Mute Swan, 42 Cormorant, 28 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Jay, 1 Kingfisher, 9 Swift, 3 House Martin, 2 Buzzard, 1 Red Kite, 1 Kestrel, 1 Whitethroat, 2 Bullfinch, 5 Lapwings, 6 Black-headed Gulls, 2 Goldcrest, 1 Treecreeper, 77 Greylags, 1 Mink.

West End:- 104 Greylag, 28 Great Crested Grebe, 32 Cormorant, 2 Little Egret, 8 Grey Heron, 4 Mandarin Duck, 4 Mallard,1+1 juv Moorhen, 2 Lapwing, 11 Common Tern, 1 Stock Dove, 2 Swallow, 1 Pied Wagtail.
Whillet’s:-  1 singing male Yellowhammer (pic), 1 juvenile Grey Wagtail, Song Thrush, Wren and Blackbird heard, 3 Reed Warbler, 1 Whitethroat, Blackcap and Chiffchaff heard, 1 Goldfinch feeding on Marsh Thistle heads.

West End:- 1 Little Ringed Plover on Pintail Bank, 2 Lapwings on North Bank opposite view point, Geese and Ducks also now using this area, 8 Common Tern.
Whillet’s:- 1 Buzzard, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2+ Reed Warblers, Song Thrush heard, 3+ Whitethroat, Blackcap and Chiffchaff heard, 1 Yellowhammer, 1 Reed Bunting.
Butterflies:- Ringlet, Small Skipper, good numbers of Meadow Brown and Large Skipper, 3 Small Tortoiseshell, 1 Comma, 1 Large White.
Emperor Dragonfly at Meadow Pond with plenty of Azure damselflies.

Whillet’s Meadows:- Osprey high over Whillet’s at 17:20hrs, Green Sandpiper at the edge of the reed-bed, 2 Kingfishers – one of them was a juvenile, I think.
