Friends of Weirwood in association with the local East Grinstead RSPB have installed a Sand Martin nest bank on the north side of the reservoir, viewing from the Legsheath car park, and hide. A link to all the details can be found here
WeirWood early morning at the dam where I was delighted to see an ad’ Little Gull. Little else however, a few grebes and Herring Gulls, with Grey Wagtail on the dam. Only stayed for 30 minutes.

WeirWood mid morning from the dam. A rather noisy Oystercatcher on the dam was noted first of all and a Great Egret along the south bank. I’ve had worse starts here. WeirWood early afternoon on another beautiful sunny day. In the dam end c/pk a Chiffchaff was singing as was a Marsh Tit. A couple of hours at the west end this morning. Little Egret appeared at 11am and an imm Fem Goshawk was circling over the resr before stooping down into the north wood and flushing all the woodpigeons.
