An Osprey appeared at the dam at 7:15, it flew to the west end and disappeared. Greenshank, Little Ringed Plover and Redshank (new in) among the crowds at the West End

West End:- 4 Common Sandpiper, 4 Green Sandpiper, 1 Greenshank, 1 Common Snipe, 1 juvenile Little Ringed Plover, 36 Lapwing, 1 Teal, 10 Mandarin Duck, 75 Mallard, 3 Little Grebe, 125 Greylag Geese, 250 Black-headed Gull, 2 Grey Wagtail, Kingfishers feeding young at nest. -

West End:- 26 Cormorant, 2 Little Egret, 16 Grey Heron, 159 Greylag + 2 white hybrid geese, 9 Egyptian Geese, 14 Mandarin, 3 Teal, 77 Mallard, 4 Moorhen, 36 Lapwing, 1 Snipe, 1 Greenshank, 2 Green Sandpiper, 2 Common Sandpiper, 100+ Black-headed Gull, 2 Common Tern, 2 Stock Dove, 1 Kingfisher, 8 Swallow, 1 Grey Wagtail, 22 Pied Wagtail, 2 Crow.
Whillet’s:- 2 Buzzard, 1f with 1 young Pheasant, 1 Green Sandpiper at meadow pond, 3 Whitethroat, 1 Chiffchaff, 5+ Goldfinch.
Butterflies: 1 Clouded Yellow, 1 Comma, 2 Common Blue, 2 Small Copper, 1 Small Heath (See pic), 2 Small Skipper, 2 Green-veined White (See pic), 8 Gatekeeper (See pic), 15 Meadow Brown, also 1 Mother of Pearl micromoth (See pic of underside). Dragonflies: 1 Brown Hawker, 3 Common Darter + 1 Blue-tailed and c.20 Azure Damselflies.

Dam End:- Greenshank flew east over dam at 07:40, 3 Common Sandpiper on dam.
Reed Warbler in scrub below dam with Chiffchaff, Blackcap and Whitethroat.

West End:- 2 Black-tailed Godwit, Greenshank, 4 Green Sandpiper, 5 Common Sandpiper. At 12:35 an Osprey appeared distantly over the canoeist beach. Yesterday 8 species of wader were present.
