Dam End:- 22 Sand Martins, 16 House Martins and 14 Swallows all ENE over dam this morning, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 12 Herring Gulls E, 2 Egyptian Geese, 1 Common Sandpiper, 4 Buzzards, 1 Mistle Thrush, 1 Kestrel, 3 Bullfinch, 1 Mute Swan, 1 Whitethroat, 2 Blackcap, 2 Pied Wagtails.
North Bank:- 1 Lesser Whitethroat singing, 1f Whitethroat, 10 Blackcap,10 Chiffchaffs, 2 Jays

Dam End:- 3 Common Sandpipers on dam, 5 Swallow, 3+4 Black-headed Gulls flew E, 7 Jays, 2 Blackcap, 5 Egyptian Geese, 2 Mandarin, 1 Red Kite, 2 Grey Wagtails.

Dam End:- 1 Swallow, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Mandarin, 1 Mute Swan, 1 Jay, 2 Mistle Thrush, 1 Whitethroat several each of Blackcap and Chiffchaffs. 2 Marsh Tits in sailing club car park.
Picnic area- 2 Reed Buntings, 1 Whitethroat.
West End:- 2 Marsh Tits.
Reed Bed:- 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Whitethroat nearby.
Study area 28 flowering spikes of Marsh Valerian.

Dam End:- 6 white feral farmyard geese, 1 Goshawk, 1 Buzzard, 2 Kestrel, 2 Herring Gull 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Kingfisher,  Green Woodpecker heard, 3 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 3 Grey Wagtail, 1 Song Thrush, 2 Mistle Thrush, 1 Whitethroat, 2 Goldcrest, 3 Long-tailed Tit, 36 Rook, 4 Crow, 2 Chaffinch, 6 Goldfinch.
West End:-  56 Cormorant (14 nests have young confirmed so far),  27 Grey Heron (19 nests have young confirmed so far), 2 Mute Swan (nesting), 14 Greylag, 19 Canada Geese, 12 Egyptian Geese, 2 Tufted Duck, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Greenshank, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Nuthatch.
Whillet’s:- 4 Buzzard, Green Woodpecker heard, 2 Reed Warbler heard, 3 Whitethroat,  2 Bullfinch.
Butterflies – 3 Orange Tip, 1 Speckled Wood, 3 Comma, 3 Peacock, 2 Small Tortoiseshell, 1 Small White.
Animals – 9 Fallow Deer,
Under Refugia – 3 Grass Snakes, 1 Common Shrew, 1 Water Shrew, 1 Field Vole.
Plants – Cowslip, 1 False Oxlip (Primula x polyantha hybrid).

West End; hide:- At about 6.45 pm the herons in the heronry started shouting loudly so I looked and got a good view of a White Stork slowly flying from there towards the dam end. (Ed: congratulations first record for WW).

From dawn – Osprey at 07:10, no fish caught, male Wheatear on the dam, 2 Common Terns, Common Sandpiper, Raven and at least 3 each Blackcap and Willow Warbler.

2 Canada Goose, 3 Egyptian Goose, 1 Mallard, 1 Stock Dove, 7 Woodpigeon, 6 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Lapwing, 1 Herring Gull, 6 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Osprey, 1 Kestrel, 2 Magpie, 3 Rook, 2 Carrion Crow, 1 Great Tit, 2 Long-tailed Tit, 3 Chiffchaff, 1 Wren, 1 Mistle Thrush, 2 Blackbird, 1 Robin, 1 Goldfinch.

Dam End:- An obvious arrival of birds today with Common Tern, 2 Willow Warblers, Redshank, 50 Swallows, 4 Sand and a House Martin.
West End:- Water Rail.

North Bank:- 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2 Green Woodpecker, 6 Swallow, 4+ Blackcap, 3+ Chiffchaff, 1 Bullfinch.
West End:-  3 Mute Swan, 5 Egyptian Geese, 2 Grey Wagtail, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Coal Tit, 1 Jay, 1 Raven, 1m Brimstone butterfly, Plants – a few Marsh Valerian in flower.
Whillet’s:- 1 Snipe flyover, 3 Whitethroat, pair of Blackcap, 2 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Goldcrest, 2 Bullfinch.  Butterflies –  3 Orange Tip, 1 Red Admiral, 1 Peacock, 1 Small Tortoiseshell. Plants in flower: Cowslips and 2 Snakeshead fritillaries.
