Whillets:- 1 Sedge Warbler, 5 Whitethroats, 1 Blackcap, 2 Reed Buntings, 65 Goldfinch, 1 Kingfisher, 70 House Martins, 1 Kestrel.

Dam End:- 1 Mute Swan, 66 Canada Geese + 1 Canada/Greylag hybrid, 1 Mandarin, 4 Cormorant, 5 Grey Heron,  16 Mallard, 3 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 3 Moorhen, 3 Common Sandpiper, 110 Black-headed Gull, 3 Herring Gull, 3 Swift, 1 Green Woodpecker,  2 Grey Wagtail.
West End:-  99 Great Crested Grebe, 130 Greylag + 2 Feral White/Greylag hybrids, 21 Mandarin,  7 Grey Heron, 18 Cormorant, 3 Teal,  47 Mallard, 2 Moorhen,  8 Lapwing, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Sand Martin, c50 House Martin, c60 Jackdaw flyover. Also adult+young Fallow Deer.
Whillet’s:- 5 Mallard, 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Kingfisher, 1 Sedge Warbler, 3 Whitethroat, 2 Bullfinch. Also 4 Common Lizards and 3 Grass Snakes.
Butterfly highlights:- 1 Painted Lady (pic),  8 Speckled Wood, 1 Small Copper.
Dragonfly highlights:– 2 Emerald damselfly at the pond, 1 Southern Hawker (pic), 1 Brown Hawker, 2 Migrant hawkers. Also 1 Squash Bug & 1 Leafhopper  (pics).

Whillet’s Pool:– Brown Hawker, Green Sandpiper.
Meadow Pond:– Common Darter – at least 3 pairs ovipositing plus 4 males and 1 female. Photo of pair. Blue-tailed Damselfly.
Meadow:- Common Blue and Meadow Brown butterflies.

West End:- 21 Greylag, Cormorant, 15 Mallard, 8 Grey Heron, 84 Great Crested Grebes, 23 Black-headed Gulls, Little Egret, Great White Egret, 2 Lapwing, 2 Moorhen & Woodpigeon .

6 August at The West End:- 1 Kingfisher, 5 Mandarins, 6 Lapwings, 1 Great Egret, 119 Great Crested Grebes, 4 Teal, 1 Green Sandpiper, 3 Swallows, c.20 House Martins, 3 Buzzards, 33 Mallard, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker.
7 August at The West End:- 1 Kingfisher, 2 Green Sandpipers, 1 Common Sandpiper, 75 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Little Egrets, 2 Lapwings, 4 Swallows.

Dam End:- 5 Common Sandpipers, 1 Mute Swan, 2 Little Egrets, 156 Greylag Geese, 112 Canada Geese, 3 Mandarin, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Kingfisher (no terns), 2 Kestrel, 1 Goldcrest, 125 Goldfinch, 2 Lapwing, 5 Starling flew south.
West End:- 1 Great Egret, 1 Green Sandpiper, 111 Great Crested Grebes, 3 Lapwing, 4 Buzzard, 12 House Martin, 1 Swallow, 1 Reed Warbler.
Whillets:- 2 Reed Bunting, 1 Reed Warbler, 2 Whitethroats, 3+ Kingfisher, 12 Common Blue, 1 Silver-Washed Fritillary, 1 Ruddy Darter.

Dam End:- 1 Sedge Warbler, 2 Willow Warblers, 4 Chiffchaff, 4 Blackcap, 1 Garden Warbler, 4 Whitethroat, 3 Common Sandpipers, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 2 Little Egrets, 2 Lapwing, 26 Goldfinch, 4 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Green Woodpecker, 4 Swallows, 40 House Martins around water works, 3 Kestrel male, female & juvenile. 2 Bullfinch, 114 Greylag Geese, 1 Kingfisher.
West End:- 2 Green Sandpipers, 1 Great Egret.
Whillets:- 1 adult Water Rail, 1 Sedge Warbler, 1 Garden Warbler, 6 Reed Warblers one feeding young, 3 Teal, 3 Buzzard, 1 Sparrowhawk, 70 Goldfinch, 3 Reed Buntings, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Bullfinch, 1 Blackcap,1 Silver-Washed Fritillary, 13 Common Blue, 1 Emerald Damselfly.

Ringing in the study area was slow but interesting with a number of Garden Warblers, nearly all juveniles. Other warblers of note were Blackcap and Chiffchaff. Birds seen included:– Marsh Tit, 2 x Kingfisher and Buzzard.
