West End:- 58 Great Crested Grebe, 21 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 1+1juv Mute Swan, 111 Greylag, 4 Canada Geese, 4 Egyptian Geese, 1m+1f Wigeon, 1m Gadwall, 10 Teal, 14 Mallard, 1 Buzzard, 2 Moorhen, 3 Coot, 3 Lapwing, 8 Snipe, 1 Green Sandpiper, 5 Stock Dove, c70 flyover Wood Pigeon, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Pied Wagtail, 1 Jay. Also several Common Darters and 1 Red Admiral around Car Park.
Whillet’s:- 1f Sparrowhawk, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1f Stonechat, 7 Redwing.

Morning ringing in the Study Area , was consistent with Chiffchaffs, Goldcrests (all male), Blue Tits, Great Tits, Coal Tit and Robin.  Other observations of note:- 6 Snipe, 6 Teal, 2 Wigeon, Marsh Tit, 2 Buzzard and a single Raven.

After checking the net rides this evening for future ringing, I took a look at the reservoir near the hide:- 57 Cormorant, 12 Teal, 7 Snipe, 13 Great Crested Grebe, 42 Canada Goose, 12 Greylag Geese, Jay, 2 Kingfishers, Marsh Tit, 2 Bullfinch, 2 Stock Dove, Green Woodpecker, Nuthatch, Mute Swan, 3 Grey Heron, Chiffchaff, Long-tailed Tit and 2 Black-headed Gull.

Whillet’s:- 2m Stonechats, 23 Lesser Redpolls, 5 Siskin, 4 Greenfinch, 5 Chaffinch, 2 Goldfinch, 3 Bullfinch, 1f Sparrowhawk, 2 Kestrel, 2 Kingfisher, 15 Mandarins flew over, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Roe Deer, 1 Fox, 4 Common Darters.

2 Black-headed Gull, Coot, 14 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Grey Heron, 9 Lapwing, Moorhen, 7 Snipe, 7+ Teal, 50+ Canada Goose, 9 Cormorant, Great White Egret, 14 Greylag Goose, 22+ Mallard, Mute Swan, 3 Stock Dove.

West End:- 12 Snipe, 23 Teal, 2 Wigeon, 2 Coot, 1 juv Mute Swan, 260 Greylag Geese, 13 Lapwing, 2 Mistle Thrush, 4 Meadow Pipits, 1 Raven.
Whillet’s:- 2m Stonechats, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Goldcrest, 3 Greenfinch, 5 Bullfinch, 25 Redwing, 1 Grey Wagtail, 3 Grey Herons, 3 Song Thrush.

A couple of hours ringing mid-morning, before the rain came, was quiet with a 1st year male Goldcrest and Blue Tits the highlights.
Other observations included: 10 Snipe, 14 Mandarin, approx. 250 Greylag Geese, Mute Swan (juv), 2 Sparrowhawk, 1 Buzzard, 2 Marsh Tit, 3 Chiffchaff, 2 Nuthatch, 1 Jay, 1 male Bullfinch, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Songthrush, 1 Gadwall and 1 Teal.

West End:- 11 Snipe, 23 Teal, 1f+1m Wigeon, 1f Shoveler, 3 Coot, 1 Mute Swan, 245 Greylag Geese, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Kingfisher, 3 Pied Wagtail, 17 Lapwings, 60 Stock Doves, 74 Redwings flew west, 1 Mistle Thrush, 40 Mallard, 2 Jays.
Dam End:- 2 Goldcrest, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Meadow Pipit, 1 Green Woodpecker, 6 Goldfinch, 3 Siskin, 1 Mute Swan, 15 Long-tailed Tits, 2 Kestrel, 14 Redwing flew west, 1 Grey Wagtail.

West End:- 16 Teal, 1f Shoveler, 1f+1m Wigeon, 1 Egyptian Geese, 3 Coots, 1 Kingfisher.
Whillet’s:- 10 Bullfinch, 8 Siskin, 4m Stonechat, 2 Redwing, 1 Chaffinch, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Jay, 1 Red Admiral.
