Monthly updates on the volunteer activities at WeirWood Reservoir.

For info – The reservoir is broken up into 32 compartments for management purposes – Compartments C1 to 16 are at the West End of the reservoir and C17 to 32 cover the dam end of the reservoir as detailed in our Management Plan. Certain areas have names which we will also use to describe locations and some have no name and are only known by compartment number but these are mostly in publicly inaccessible areas.

  In April we completed the Willow clearance we started in March in compartment C19 at the Lecomber seat viewpoint with all arisings suitably stacked ready for future disposal.   All West End: March is our time for managing all the nest boxes and we have well over a 100 that need cleaning and maintenance, renewals etc and then monitoring.
