Visual migration:- 469 Redwing, 52 Fieldfare, 12 Song Thrush, 28 Meadow Pipit, 43 Siskin, 20 Goldfinch, 44 Chaffinch, 1 Chiffchaff, 11 Bullfinch, 62 Stock Dove, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Pied Wagtail, 3 Blackbirds All flew west between 07:30-09:30.
West End:- 3 Mute Swan, 1m Wigeon, 1f Shoveler, 31 Teal, 2 Coot, 8 Snipe, 1 Lapwing, 2 Kingfisher, 2 Treecreepers, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Stonechat, 3 Mistle Thrush, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 3 Jay, 2 Egyptian Geese.

Ringing in the study area this morning was rather quiet – even with a light breeze from the north east – notably Blackcap and Goldcrest plus Blue Tits, Great Tits, Robin and Wrens.
Othe observations proved more fruitful: approx. 170 Greylag Geese,1  Raven aerial scrapping with a Buzzard, 1 Kingfisher, 9 Teal, 2 Snipe, 9 Lapwing,  27 Stock Dove in one flock, female Sparrowhawk, 9 Goldfinches, 2 Jay, 2 Marsh Tit, 2 Nuthatch, 9 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Chiffchaff and a flyover by a Skylark.  Also plenty of Hornets on the wing.

A still, misty morning was slow going for ringing in the study area with only a trickle of warblers – Blackcap and Chiffchaff.  Other birds were: Bullfinch, Goldcrest, Blackbird, Songthrush, Wren, Dunnock and Blue Tit. Other observations: 100+ Greylag Geese flew over , 26 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Jays, 9 Stock Dove and Buzzard.

West End:- 31 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 4m+2f Mandarin, 26 Teal, 46 Mallard, 1 Buzzard, 6 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 1 Lapwing, 7 Snipe, c25 Stock Dove, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Grey Wagtail, c20 flyover Jackdaw.

West End:- 1 Great White Egret, 26 Teal, 1f Shoveler, 7 Snipe, 1 Coot, 5 Moorhen, 1 Lapwing, 1 Kingfisher, 3 Swallows, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Chaffinch, 1 Goldfinch, 2 Siskin, 2 Pied Wagtail, 3 Jay, 1 Kestrel, 20 Starlings, 23 Stock Doves.

West End:- 24 Teal, 1m Wigeon, 3 Coots, 7 Snipe, 1 Mandarin, 13 Lapwing, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Kingfisher, 158 Greylag Geese.
Whillet’s:- 1 Stonechat, 5 Greenfinch, 3 Bullfinch, 3 Common Lizards, 2 Peacock Butterfly.

West End:- 23 Teal, 22 Lapwing, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Coot, 147 Greylag Geese, 40 Stock Doves, 2 Jays, 6 Moorhens, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Chiffchaff, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Canada Goose, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 6 Mistle Thrush, 18 Starlings, 60 Mallard, 1 Buzzard, 63 Great Crested Grebe.
Whillet’s:- 1 Reed Warbler, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Reed Bunting, 2 Jays, 2 Stonechat, 1 Kestrel, 3 Chiffchaff, 4 Chaffchiff,1 Green Woodpecker, 5 Bullfinch, 1 Song Thrush.
Dam End:- 10 Meadow Pipits,1 Chiffchaff,1 Pied Wagtail,1 Grey Wagtail,1 Mistle Thrush,4 House Martins,1 Jay.
Water Works Lagoon:- 1m Wigeon, 1 Mute Swan.

West End:- The Great Egret still present, Water Rail near the hide again. A Redshank joined the 2 Green and a Common Sandpiper and 3 Kingfishers were present. Teal numbered 7 also female Shoveller and a Tufted Duck male.
