West End while doing nest box survey. Great White Egret, Woodlark singing from field opposite lay-by, Kingfisher carrying fish and begging calls heard near nest bank.

Quick hour at Dam this afternoon in very windy conditions,1 Swallow,1 Sand Martin,1 GBB Gull,1 LBB Gull,1 Herring Gull,Goshawk,Red Kite and at last a Treecreeper for my patch year list.

North Bank

3 Blackcap,6 Chiffchaffs,Female Bullfinch,Green Woodpecker & female Goshawk over South side.

West end
1 Swallow N,1 Snipe on Pintail bank,4 Tufted Ducks,22 Canada Geese,1 Egyptian,2 Pied Wags,6 Buzzards,1 Red Kite,Sparrowhawk & 5 Chaffinch.

West end mid afternoon,1 Swallow,1 Sand Martin,2 Herring Gulls,12 GCG,5 Buzzards,1 Sparrowhawk,1 Mistle Thrush,2 Pied Wags.

7 Sand Martins at dam end.

Around 20 Sand Martins seen over West End of reservoir.

West End:- 8 x Canada Goose, 7 x Greylag Goose, 3 x Egyptian Goose, 11 x Mandarin Duck, 8 x Mallard, 4 x Tufted Duck, 1 x Pheasant, 2 x Stock Dove, 23 x Woodpigeon, 5 x Great Crested Grebe, 3 x Herring Gull, 17 x Cormorant, 25 x Grey Heron, 2 x Buzzard, 1 x Kingfisher, 3 x Carrion Crow, 1 x Coal Tit, 1 x Marsh Tit, 9 x Blue Tit, 5 x Great Tit, 1 x Long-tailed Tit, 3 x Chiffchaff, 1 x Blackcap, 1 x Goldcrest, 2 x Wren, 1 x Song Thrush, 2 x Blackbird, 4 x Dunnock, 1 x Pied Wagtail (yarrellii), 2 x Chaffinch, 3 x Goldfinch

12 widgeon, 6 gc grebes, and two lesser black backs at the dam end this afternoon
