West End – Late afternoon visit: 4 Little Grebe, 4 Grey Heron, 105 Greylag, 13 Gadwall, 22 Teal, 20+ Mallard, 1 Feral Magpie Duck, 2 Tufted Duck, 5 Moorhen, 33 Lapwing, 24 flyover Herring Gull, 1 Kingfisher, 2 G S Woodpecker, 1 Marsh Tit,  1 Coal Tit, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Treecreeper.

Dam end: Late afternoon visit for Gull roost: c.1000 Black-headed Gull, c.50 Common Gull, c.40  Herring Gull, 1 Lesser black-backed Gull, also noted 39 Great Crested Grebe, 20 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 37 Canada Geese, 20 Mallard, 6 Shoveler, 5 Moorhen.

West End: 2 Little Grebe, 2M Shoveler. (Late morning visit)

Whillet’s:- 127 Reed Buntings roosted in reed bed, 1 Little Egret flew towards heronry probably to roost, 95 Lapwings flying around West End.

10+ Black-headed Gull, 2 Chaffinch, 1 Goldeneye showing well in front of the hide, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Grey Heron, 2 Little Grebe, 3 Shoveler, 4+ Blue Tit, 12 Cormorant, 2 Goldfinch, 2 Great Tit, 100+ Greylag Goose, 1 Pheasant.

West End:-  2 Egyptian Geese, 168 Greylag, 1 Canada Goose hybrid, 3 Grey Heron, 3 Little Grebe,  pair of Mandarin, 27 Gadwall, 26 Teal, 1f Goldeneye, 7 Shoveler, 2 Kingfisher, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Buzzard (Alan Caulkett).
9th December 2016 Whillet’s:- 3 Kingfisher (Alan Caulkett).

West End:- 2f + 2m and 1 immature Shoveler, 1 Little Grebe, 1m Tufted Duck, 182 Greylag Geese, 2 Herring Gull, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1f Goldeneye, 44 Mallard, 14 Gadwall.
Dam End:- 2 Mistle Thrush on dam, 1 Green Sandpiper by outflow Stream, 7 Bullfinch, 1f Kestrel, 2 Meadow Pipit, 2 pairs of Jays, 2 Coal Tits, 1 Goldcrest, 9 Song Thrush, 70+ Redwing, 30 Starling, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Pied Wagtail, groups of 12 and 10 Long-tailed Tits.

West End:- 4 Little Grebe, 1f Goldeneye, 3 Shoveler, 20 Gadwall, 29 Teal, 2 Grey Heron, 1 feral Magpie Duck, 192 Greylag, 1 Buzzard, 1 distant Sparrowhawk, 5 Moorhen, 2 flyover Lapwing, 1 Stock Dove, 70 Black-headed Gull, 4 flyover Pied Wagtail, 1 flyover Raven. At the feeders:- 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Coal Tit, 1 Marsh Tit, usual Blue & Great Tits, 4+ Goldfinch, 1 Greenfinch, 7 flyover Long-tailed Tit.

West End, car park (13.45-14.39):- 105 Black-headed Gull, 5 Common Gull, 168 Greylag Geese, 46 Gadwall, 13 Cormorant. 14 Mallard, 14 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Shoveler, 5 Mandarin, 6 Teal, 5 Moorhen,15 Lapwing, 2 Kingfisher, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Grey Heron, 2 Goldfinches, 2 Blue Tit, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Great Tit, 1 Robin, 2 Pheasant and numerous Woodpigeons.

West End:- 1f Goldeneye, 2 Kingfishers, 2 Little Grebes, 2f Shoveler, 12 Mandarin, 31 Gadwall, 16 Teal, 1 Kestrel, 2 Common Gull, 2 Grey Herons.
