All Reservoir counts: 62 Great Crested Grebe, 18 Grey Heron, 6+8y Egyptian Geese, 87 Mallard, 4 Moorhen, 4 Kingfisher, 3 Swallow, 4 House Martin, 4 Chiffchaff, 2 Jay.

Dam End:– 1 Little Egret, 23 Greylag Geese, 2 Tufted Duck, 1 Red Kite, 1 Honey Buzzard, 2 Common Buzzard, 30 Black-headed Gull, 1 Lesser Black-backed and 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 6 Herring Gull, 23 Swift, 1 Green Woodpecker, 3 Grey Wagtail, 6 Pied Wagtail, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Nuthatch, 2 Crow, 3 Raven, 1 Chaffinch,

West End:– 26 Cormorant, 32+1j Canada Geese, 19 Mandarin Duck, 18 Lapwing, 2 Redshank, 8 Common Terns at rafts,  

Whillet’s:– 1 Collared Dove flyover, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 3+1j Reed Warbler, 2 Whitethroat, 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Reed Bunting.  Butterfly count:  1 Red Admiral, 51 Meadow Brown, 2 Ringlet, 1 Speckled Wood, 1 Large White, 2 Small Tortoiseshell, (many Peacock caterpillars seen), 7 Large Skipper, 7 Small Skipper, 2 Common Blue, 2 Painted Lady.

Dragonflies: 1 Black-tailed Skimmer, 1 Emperor, 1 Downy Emerald.  Damselflies: 3 Blue-tailed, 3 White-legged, 1 Large Red,  10+ pairs of Azure also 1 Beautiful Demoiselle.  

West End:- 17 Grey Heron, 8 Greylag, 4 Egyptian Geese, 16 Mandarin Duck, 3 Moorhen, 13 Lapwing, 3 Green Sandpiper, 8 Black-headed Gull, 4 pairs of Common Terns nesting on rafts, 1 Kingfisher, 4 Swallow, 2 House Martin.

Whillet’s:- Butterfly Survey – 40 Meadow Brown, 1 Speckled Wood, 8 Large Skipper, 2 Common Blue, 2 Small Copper. Damselflies – 7 Blue Tailed, 15 Azure and 1 White Legged.

West End:- evening visit 1 Green Sandpiper, 21 Lapwings, 26 Mandarin, 1m Tufted Duck, 4 Egyptian Geese, white Grey Heron, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Little Egret, 6 Common Tern, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Black-headed Gull.

Dam End:- 4 Hobbies, 4 Buzzards, 2 Swifts, 1 House Martin, 3 Swallows, 46 Mallard, 2 Black-headed Gulls, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 20 Herring Gulls, 18 Pied Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Egyptian Geese + 8 goslings, 32 Canada Geese.
West End:- 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 14 Lapwings, 1 Moorhen, 4 Mandarin, 2 Tufted Duck, 43 Great Crested Grebes, 6 Common Tern, 2 Bullfinch, 32 Mallard, 2 House Martin.

Osprey again at 9am, 3 Hobbies still and a female Honey Buzzard over the dam at 8;45am, Kestrel and female Sparrowhawk.

West End:- 53 Great Crested Grebes, 15 Lapwing, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Kingfisher, 14 Mandarin, 28 Mallard, 3 Moorhen, 1 Jay.
Whillet’s:- male Reed Bunting, 13 Long-tailed Tits including fledged young.
Reed Warbler singing at meadow pond, 2+ fledged Reed Warblers being fed by adults another pair taking food to nest plus a singing male.
15 Grass Snakes, 1 lizard, 1 Downy Emerald, 5 White-legged Damselflies, 1 Blue Tail Damselfly, 1 Red-eyed damselfly, 6 Large Red Damselfly and loads of Azures.
22 Meadow Brown, 7 Large Skipper, 3 Common Blue, 2 Red Admiral, 2 Small Tortoiseshell, 1 Speckled Wood, 1 Small White, 7 Burnett Campions.

West End:- 39 Great Crested Grebes, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 6 Common Terns, 2 Little Ringed Plovers.

West End:- 29 Great Crested Grebes, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 6 Lapwing, 3 Mandarin.

Dam End:- 18 Greylag Goose, 20 Canada Goose, 10 Egyptian Goose — 2 adults, 8 young, 3 Mandarin Duck, 31 Mallard, 1 Tufted Duck, 1 Pheasant, 9 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Woodpigeon, 3 Swift, 1 Black-headed Gull, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2 Common Tern, 4 Cormorant, 4 Grey Heron, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Hobby, 3 Magpie, 13 Rook, 3 Carrion Crow, 3 Barn Swallow, 4 House Martin, 1 Common Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 1 Wren, 1 Grey Wagtail, 6 Pied Wagtail, 2 Common Chaffinch.

Osprey mid-reservoir at 11:10, 5 Hobbies, 12 Common Terns, 2 Little-ringed Plovers from the dam. Also 7 Buzzards about.
