Dam End:- WeirWood on a lovely calm morning was fairly quiet to start but soon picked up. At the dam 2 Common Sands and 2 Common Terns, a few House Martins and a Swift. On the dam top a couple of nice Wheatear, male and female were seen only briefly after first light. In the c/pk a Garden Warbler was seen and in the overflow a pair of Grey Wagtails. Whitethroat was still in the bushes and along the north bank a Lesser Whitethroat was noted near the picnic site, here it was odd to have a Curlew fly over headed north.

West End:- a summer plumaged Great Egret was on the canoeist beach and 2 Common Terns were now on a nesting platform, 2 Kingfishers were seen.

Whilletts:- 3 Reed Buntings and a Reed Warbler. Not a bad morning after a few really quiet ones.
