Dam End:- WeirWood was beautiful and calm at 6:00hrs and today started off with 2 female Common Scoters from the dam. The pair of Common Terns were still on the aerator and 2 Common Sands were still in situ. Several Mandarins were scattered around. Over the dam a dozen House Martins and 3 Swifts were feeding. A pair of Grey Wagtails briefly joined 16 Pied Wagtails on the dam plus a Linnet male. At 6:20hrs the Common Scoter flew off north. In all 6 Common Terns were noted from the dam. A Great Egret flew south, continuing around Admirals Wood, a smart adult and presumably the bird seen recently. In the c/pk a Garden Warbler again and below the dam in the bushes a Whitethroat plus another Garden Warbler, Buzzard and 2 Green Woodpeckers.

West End:- 2 Kingfishers were noted plus a pair of the Common Terns were on one of the nesting rafts but generally it was quiet. No sign of the Great Egret.

Whilletts:- the Reed Warbler was still present plus Reed Bunting female and another Garden Warbler. I left at 7:30hrs.
