    This afternoon 10 Common Sandpiper around the reservoir, 1 Raven flew north.

    Dam End:- 1 Oystercatcher, 6 Common Sandpiper, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 3 House Martin, 2 Common Tern, 2 Moorhen, 11 Great Crested Grebe + 2 juvenile, 4 adult Egyptian Geese, 43 Canada Geese.

    West End:- Car Park 12.01-13.33, 27 Greylag Geese. 3 Canada Geese. 1 Egyptian Goose. 6 Mute Swan. 11 Great Crested Grebe. 17 Mallard. 7 Mandarin. 6 Coot. 14 Cormorant. 8 Grey Heron. 6 Common Tern. 25 Black-headed Gull. 1Kingfisher. 1 Robin. 1 Wren. 2 Chiffchaff. Numerous Woodpigeon. 2 Roe Deer.

    A very fresh Brown Hairstreak in the first meadow on the footpath near Willow trees by Whillet’s Pool. Also at West End Car Park a Purple Hairstreak.

    Other butterflies at Whillet’s included Small Copper, Holly Blue, Speckled Wood and Comma with good numbers of Meadow Brown & Gatekeeper.
    Also Hemp Agrimony and Small Balsam in flower.
    At Meadow Pond – several Common Blue damselflies, Brown Hawker dragonfly egg laying and Willow Emerald.
    West End:- Kingfishers taking food, still  feeding young, 1 Grey Wagtail and 1 Mandarin noted.

    North Bank:-  08:00-11:00 – 3 Honey Buzzard to SSE, Hobby, Red Kite, Sparrowhawk carrying food and adult Common Gull.

    West End:-  14+8y (broods of 3, 3 & 2) Great Crested Grebe, 4 Grey Heron, 8 Mute Swan, 1 Mandarin Duck, 3 Teal, 1 Shoveler, 20 Mallard, 1j Moorhen,  4 Coot, 3j Black-headed Gull, 2+2j Common Tern, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Terrapin.  Also 1 worn Silver Washed Fritillary butterfly.
    Whillet’s:- 1 Bullfinch, 1 Reed Bunting. 2 Brown Hawker dragonflies.

    West End:- 8 Mute Swan, 8 Coot including one juvenile, 1 Kestrel, 2 Swift, 2 Swallow, 20 House Martin.
