    West End:- Male and female Tawny Owl, 4 Bullfinch.
    Dam End:- 3 Hawfinch in top of trees by Southern Water,plus large Linnet flock, 1 Little Egret,122 Lapwing flew south, 3 Common Gulls.

    6+ Black-headed Gull, 5+ Blue Tit, 2 Carrion Crow, 2+ Coal Tit, Coot, Dunnock, Great Spotted Woodpecker, 50+ Greylag Goose, 7 Long-tailed Tit, 10+ Mallard, Nuthatch, 4 Rook, 2 Blackbird, Brambling, 2 Chaffinch, 2 Common Gull, 6 Cormorant, 5+ Goldfinch, 2 Great Tit, 50+ Jackdaw, 2 Magpie, 2 Marsh Tit, Robin, 7+ Woodpigeon.
     
    A fly tipper has dumped a pile of rubbish in the North Bank car park.

    Ringing in the study area in the morning saw the normal winter species – Blue Tit and Great Tit. Other species of note were Bullfinch (last year female), Chaffinch (full adult female), Goldcrest (last year female) and Marsh Tit (full adult).
    A loud Raven flew over the study area and a Buzzard flew off from the ground in the area. A Short-tailed Vole was the only mammal of note. The reservoir levels are the highest they have been for a while.

    West End:- 1m Brambling under the feeders, 2 Hawfinch flew SW as did a single Snipe. 48 Cormorants, 6 Mandarins, 2 Treecreepers, 1 Marsh Tit, 15 Rooks, 1 Common Gull, 2 Buzzards, 20+ Reed Buntings flew towards roost, 6 Chaffinch, 500+ Black-headed Gulls.

    West End (1100 to 1200):- 3 Egyptian Geese, 12 Greylags, 7 Teal, Heron, Buzzards, Sparrowhawk, approx 40 Lapwings.
    Feeders and surrounding trees:- Brambling, Treecreeper, Nuthatch, Goldcrest, Goldfinches, Chaffinches, Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Long-tailed, Great, Blue, Marsh, and Coal Tits.
    Also the usual Cormorants, Great Crested Grebes and Mallards.

    West end car park (14,07-15,30):- 28 Greylag Geese, 20 Mallard, 4 Gadwall, 1m Tufted, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 23 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Buzzard overflying, 68 Black-headed Gulls, 9 Common Gulls, 3 Stock Dove, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 8 Blue Tit, 2 Great Tit,1 Coal Tit, 4 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Robin, 1 Dunnock, 1 Carrion Crow, 2 Chaffinch,1 Goldfinch, numerous Woodpigeons overflying,

    West End:- 1m Brambling at feeders, 1 Marsh Tit, 17 Mandarins, 2m Tufted Duck, 5 Gadwall, 3 Teal, 5 Snipe, 52 Lapwing few west, 1 Coot, 3 Heron, 1 Grey Wagtail, 3 Pied Wagtail, 2 Buzzards, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel, 400 Starlings flew NW, 20 Fieldares, 6 Redwings, 2 Song Thrush, 6 Stock Doves.

    There was a male Brambling under the high trapeze bar feeders – on the ground feeding with about 6 Chaffinches.

    Whillet’s:- 235 Reed Buntings roosted in reed bed between 14:30-16:00; Water Rail heard, 1 Pied Wagtail, 3 Wrens, 2 Kingfisher, 5 Mallard, 2 Canada Geese, Sparrowhawk, Kestrel, Buzzard, 1 Grey Heron. Flying over: 475 Starlings, 82 Redwings, 26 Fieldfares, 1 Mistle Thrush, 4 Chaffinch, 1 Goldfinch and 2 Long-tailed Tits.
