    Lunch time at west end, nothing to add except 2 Shovellers, 1 imm Mute Swan and a terrapin. Unable to locate the Pochard.

    West End:- 2 x Canada Goose, 1 x Mute Swan, 4 x Mandarin Duck, 2 x Gadwall, 22 x Mallard, 1 x Domestic Mallard, 10 x Teal, 1 x Pochard, 2 x Pheasant, 4 x Woodpigeon, 3 x Moorhen, 1 x Coot, 7 x Great Crested Grebe, 3 x Cormorant, 1 x Grey Heron, 1 x Buzzard, 2 x Kingfisher, 1 x Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 x Magpie, 1 x Jackdaw, 4 x Carrion Crow, 1 x Raven, 1 x Marsh Tit, 10 x Blue Tit, 6 x Great Tit, 2 x Chiffchaff, 2 x Goldcrest, 3 x Wren, 2 x Nuthatch, 3 x Robin, 1 x Chaffinch

    No sign of the Rock Pipit but 22 Meadow Pipits feeding in grass back of the dam.
    Common Sandpiper still, immature Mute Swan dropped in. 8 Pied Wags in Paddock and 6 Mandarins around. 11 Swallows went east.

    WeirWood. A fruitful visit to the west end this evening with fem’ Peregrine, Little Egret and a couple of Snipe to start. Also 11 Teal, Red Kite and 2 Kingfishers. A Raven flew over as did 5 Siskins, 3 Redpolls a dozen Crossbills, all SW, amazing stuff. At Whillett’s nice to have Water Rail back with one seen after a lot of squealing.

    51 Great Crested Grebes total, 1 Common Sandpiper still on the dam plus a Siskin over.
    At west end immature female Peregrine and a Hobby, 16 Teal and 3 Chiffchaffs in car park.
    Whillet’s:- 1 male Stonechat in right hedge of second meadow, pair of Crossbills flew west at 1pm and 2 Greenfinch around, 2 Jays, 2 Bullfinch and Green Woodpecker.

    Last butterfly count of the year found 1 Common Blue,2 Small Coppers,1 Red Admiral and 4 Green veined whites. 10 Willow Emeralds,5 Migrant Hawker,Southern Hawker and 10+ Common Darters.

    This morning at the dam end some lovely sights of House Martins 700, swallows 200+ dropping in for a drink then heading off east, 1 Common Sandpiper, 3 Grey Wagtails were on the dam.
    Couple of Jays below the dam with several calling Chiffchaffs and 6 Pied Wagtails and a Kestrel in the paddock. 58 Greylags flew high west and several small groups of Starlings plus 3 Siskins over. At least 32 Great Crested Grebes,plus 2 Egyptian Geese noted.
    At the west end 12 Teal, 2 Mandarins, 22 Great crested Grebes and 3 Chiffchaffs.
    Whillet’s 7 Siskins feeding in the Alders, 2 Goldcrests and several Bullfinch in the Blackthorns, a Water Rail was Squealing at the Reed Bed.
    Green Woodpecker gave nice views and last and best sighting was 2 Woodlarks which flew low over at 11:50 heading SE.

    West End:- 42 x Greylag Goose, 4 x Mandarin Duck, 12 x Mallard, 1 x Mallard (Domestic type), 10 x Eurasian Teal, 1 x Stock Dove, 6 x Common Woodpigeon, 3 x Common Moorhen, 1 x Eurasian Coot, 26 x Great Crested Grebe, 7 x Great Cormorant, 3 x Grey Heron, 2 x Common Kingfisher, 1 x Eurasian Jackdaw, 1 x Carrion Crow, 10 x Eurasian Blue Tit, 4 x Common Chiffchaff, 4 x Long-tailed Tit, 1 x Eurasian Nuthatch, 2 x Eurasian Wren, 1 x Eurasian Blackbird, 1 x European Robin, 1 x Dunnock

    WeirWood late morning started at the west end. Here a nice group of 34 Great-crested Grebes with a Little Grebe in tow. A Little Egret on the canoeist beach and several phyllosc’s noted. 2 Snipe were on Pintail bank. The duck numbers seem static for now with nothing new of note, but no sign of the Shovellers. At the dam 3 Common Sands and a Ringed Plover on the dam but little else of note other than a very smart male Sparrowhawk and a Red Kite over.

    West end:- 12+ Teal, 16 Mandarins, Little Grebe, 5 Coots, 4 Moorhens, Kingfisher, 15 Long tailed tits, Jay, 3 Chiffchaffs and House Martins on the move east.
