A lovely visit in the sunshine today and found a Great White Egret and 6 Egyptian Geese, rafts of Canada and Greylag Geese, Cormorants, 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Moorhen, Mallards and finished with 2 Buzzards mewing overhead.

West End:- 4 Mandarin, 3 Buzzard, 15 flyover Lapwing, 1 Greater Black-backed Gull, 1 Kingfisher, Raven heard, 2 Egyptian Geese.
Whillet’s:- 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel, 1 flyover Great Spotted Woodpecker, 3 Swallow, 3 House Martin, 1 Song Thrush, 2 Chiffchaff, 3 Long-tailed Tit, Jay heard, 2 Bullfinch. Also 1 Small Copper butterfly.

Dam End:- 3 Egyptian Geese, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Grey Wagtail, 4 Meadow Pipit, 4 Swallow, 2 House Martin, 1 Chiffchaff.
West End:- 5 Mandarin, 6 Teal, 1f Tufted Duck, 1 Chiffchaff.
Whillet’s:- 15+Song Thrushes, 2 Mistle Thrush, 10 Meadow Pipit, 2 Goldcrest, 12 Chaffinch, 7 Siskin, 1 Blackcap heard, 7 Chiffchaffs, 4 Swallow, 30+House Martins, Green Woodpecker, Sparrowhawk, 2 Grey Heron.

Dam End:- 3 Ravens, second-winter Mediterranean Gull.

Dam End:- Few Swallows and many House Martins over, Yellow Wagtail on the dam with Grey and Pied Wagtails.
Tree Pipit over and 14 Lesser Redpolls perched up briefly.

Whillet’s:- flock of Redwings flew over while we were raking the hay, about five Bullfinches in the blackthorns calling for most of the morning, about 15 House Martins feeding overhead around 10 am.
West End:- Green Sandpiper, about 15 Lapwings, a few Teal, 1 Manadarin, 1 Kingfisher.

22/09/20 Dam End:- 2 Yellow Wagtails over.

West End:- 5 Grey Heron, 7 Teal, 19 Mallard, 3 Moorhen, 20 Lapwing, 2 Snipe, 2 Green Sandpiper, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Pied Wagtail.

Dam End:-  Whilst checking new reed-bed contractors heard a Raven overhead.
West End:- 32+3juv Great Crested Grebe, 5 Grey Heron, 370 Greylag Geese, 40 Canada Geese, 4 Egyptian Geese, 1m Mandarin, 4 Teal, 17 Mallard, 5 Moorhen, 1 Lapwing, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Pied Wagtail, 1 Chiffchaff.

Whillet’s:- 1 Redwing, 1 Stonechat, 11 House Martins, 1 Lesser Redpoll, 9 Meadow Pipit, 19 Siskins, 5 Chiffchaff, 16 Mistle Thrush, 10 Goldfinch, 2 Song Thrush, 5 Greenfinch, 1 Grey Wagtail, 4 Jays, 1 Kestrel, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Starling, 6 Bullfinch, 1 Reed Bunting.

Whillet’s:- 7E + 1W Crossbills, 1 Lesser Redpoll, 19 Siskins, 18 Meadow Pipits, 3 Chiffchaffs, 4 Mistle Thrush, 2 Grey Wagtails, 1 Kingfisher, 12 Stock Dove, 6 Bullfinch, 1 Sparrowhawk.
