    West End:- Great White Egret, 1 Little Egret and a smart male Bullfinch.

    West End :- 1 Goshawk (F), 4 Goosanders (3M, 1F), several Stock Doves, 2 Little Egrets, 4 Siskins, 2 Redpolls, 1 Red Kite, 2 Kingfishers, 3 Common Gull. All of the usual ducks were present.

    West End (PM):- 22 Common Pochards, 9 Mandarin duck, 5 Tufted duck, 4 Teal, 2 Common Snipe, 10 Black-headed gulls, 1 Herring Gull, 2 Coot, 6 Moorhen, 2 Egyptian Geese, 1 Little Egret, 2 Buzzard, 6 Redwing, 2 Song thrush, 2 Bullfinch, 15 Goldfinch, 3 Chaffinch, 1 Marsh tit, 2 Coal tit, 1 (Lesser) Redpoll and a Red Fox.

    West End:- 19 Common Pochards, 15 Wigeon, 7 Teal, 4 Tufted Duck, 1 Mandarin Duck, 1 Coot, 4 Moorhen, 5 Little Egret, 1 Goosander (m), 3 Little Grebe, 4 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Egyptian geese, 2 Greylag Geese, 25 Canada Geese, 14 Grey Heron, Buzzard, Red Kite, Song Thrush, Marsh Tit and Chaffinch.

  • Spring Walk 2025

    We will be holding our popular annual Spring Walk this year on Saturday 26 April. As usual the focus will be on the bluebell display, but we will also walk out on to Pintail Point and afterwards walk into Whillets Meadows. Start time 9.15am – duration 3.5 hours (approx) – meet in the West End car park. This is a members only event, but family and friends are welcome.

    West End: 1m+1f Goosander, 2 Little Egrets, 12 Grey heron at least 11 nests occupied, 18 Wigeon, 6 Gadwall, 16 Pochard, 3 Moorhen, GS Woodpecker, Nuthatch plus all the usuals at the feeders.
