    Late afternoon a Goshawk was over the northern ridge putting everything up including 120+ Woodpigeons, 10 Redwings, 7 meadow Pipits, 7 Stock Doves and couple of Chaffinches and loads of corvids.
    On the water 3 Pochards, 2 Mandarins, Little Grebe, 4 Coots, 42 Canada Geese, 3 Grey Heron, Kingfisher & 3 Egyptians.
    Coal & Marsh tit visiting feeders plus a Goldcrest in the brambles

    Mid morning at the dam found 40 Great Crested Grebes with 5 Common Pochards, 2 Wigeon were on the Lagoon. Behind the dam were 60 Goldfinch, 20 Siskin, 2 Chaffinches, 2 Goldcrests a Song Thrush and just one Meadow Pipit. Several Jays heard and Raven.
    Not much on the move but 10 Redwings, 36 Starlings several Hundred Woodpigeons and a Skylark over. On the walk back a Marsh Tit was noted by the horse Paddock and a female Sparrowhawk glided over.
    At the west end 10 Mandarins, 3 Teal,Shoveler and 5 Egyptian Geese.
    A look at the game crop fields opposite found just 4 Reed Buntings, 3 Goldfinch and a Kestrel.

    WeirWood this sunny morning a Little Egret, 6 Teal, 3 Little Grebe still amongst the 42 Great-crested and the pair of Tufted Ducks. On Pintail Bank 4 Snipe flushed and flew to the point. On the feeders Marsh and Coal Tits again. Other species inc’ a Red Kite over and landing in Admiral’s Wood, plus a Raven being pursued by Carrion Crows. In the stubble fields at least 2 Brambling present. Nothing of note at the dam, too many people, however in the c/pk at last a Firecrest with 2 Goldcrests and a few Blue Tits moving through the trees rather briskly. Fantastic birds.

    WeirWood from 7:30hrs, started again at the west end where there were 3 Little Grebes, Kingfisher, 2 Tufted Duck and 8 Teal. On the feeders Coal and Marsh Tit around this morning. In the c/pk a nice smart Brambling a couple of Siskins were seen plus 3 Redpolls over. Lots of finches about this morning, which was nice to see, plus good Wood Pigeon numbers, well in to several hundreds. Whillett’s produced a calling Water Rail and 3 Reed Buntings. At the dam little of note, 2 Goldcrests around and 6 Meadow Pipits all in and over the c/pk. Nothing on the dam other than a Jay, on the water good numbers of Great-crested Grebes and 35 Black-headed and a Common Gull.

    Late afternoon numbers of finches flying around cover crop fields at west end,3 landed in an Ash opposite were Brambling.
    Around 140 Redwings, 400 Woodpigeons, 500+ starlings and 2 Common Gulls flying around.
    On the water just 3 Little Grebes, 2 Tufted Duck, 2 Mandarin, 2 Coots and a Kingfisher. 65 Cormorants in trees at west end, Marsh tit on feeder.
