    West End: 14 Grey Herons (photo of one of this years fledged young). The heronry is getting quieter as the young fledge or adults leave after a failed nesting attempt. A few later starters are still active.  29 Cormorants (there are13 active nests many of which have young; Cormorants started nesting later so none have fledged yet). 6 Great Crested Grebe (displaying seen), 7 pairs of Common Terns are holding territories on the rafts, A female Mallard with 3 well-grown young.
    2 Canada Geese with 5 young on Pintail, 2 Greylag flew over, 3m Mandarin, 1 Buzzard,  1 Stock Dove, 1 flyover Collared Dove, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Swallow, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Pied Wagtail, 1 Nuthatch, 2 Goldfinch.
    Whillet’s:- 2 Canada Geese, pair of Mandarin flew over, 1 Buzzard, 2+ Reed Warbler, 3 Whitethroat, 2 Blackcap, 4 Garden Warbler, 3 Chiffchaff, a singing Nightingale (rare for here) was heard last week but not today.  1 Downy Emerald Dragonfly, 1 Large Red and 1 Azure Damselflies, 1 Beautiful Demoiselle. 1 Grass Snake, 2 Peacock and 2 Green-veined White butterflies.

    Dam End:-  2 Little Ringed Plovers, 2 Little Gull, 1 immature Mute Swan, 5 Canada Geese, 2 Mandarin flyover, 1 Stock Dove, 60+ Wood Pigeon, 2 Pied Wagtail.
    West End:-  13 Great Crested Grebe, 29 Cormorant, Heronry still very active with young seen at nests, 3 Greylag, 8 Canada Geese, 4 Egyptian Geese, pair of Mandarin, 3 flyover Gadwall, 16 Mallard, 1 Moorhen, 5 Snipe on Pintail, 1 flyover Lesser Black-backed Gull, 6 Stock Dove, 1 Greater Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Pied Wagtail, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Treecreeper, 5+ Blue Tit, 1 Chaffinch.

    West End:- 6 Common Snipe, 2 Mandarin, 1 Little Grebe, 5 immature Mute Swan ,2 Egyptian Geese.
    Whillet’s:- 1 Common Snipe, 4 Comma Butterflies.

    Dam End:- 5 immature Mute Swans, 8 Canada Geese, 3 Chiffchaff, 9 Sand Martins, 5 Song Thrush, 1 Jay, 2 Herring Gull, 26 Fieldfares, 8 Redwings.
    North Bank:- 9 Chiffchaffs, 18 Chaffinch in Hornbeam wood, 1 Treecreeper, 1 Green Woodpecker (heard), 5 Bullfinch.
    West End:- 12 Cormorants on nests, 2 Tufted Duck, 2 Mandarin, 9 Blackbirds, 2 Jays, 2 Egyptian Geese, 12 Great Crested Grebes.
