West End:- 1 Red Kite, 1 Buzzard, 4 Moorhen, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 3 Green Sandpiper, 4 Common Sandpiper, 1 Kingfisher, 4 Stock Dove.

Study Area:- 10 boxes with active Stock Dove nests, 5 with young and 5 with eggs.

West End:- 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Green Sandpiper, 4 Common Sandpiper, 33 Lapwing, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Teal, 22 Mandarin, 70 Mallard + 1 white duck, 6 Moorhen, 41 Pied Wagtail, 4 Little Egret, 11 Greylag Geese, 8 adult Common Tern + 5 fledged juveniles and 3 juveniles still on raft, 203 Black-headed Gull, 5 Magpie, 5 Stock Dove, 2 Collared Dove flyover. Sadly looks like all the Little Ringed Plover chicks have been predated – no sign of adults.

Black Kite flew over the west end at 6:25 and headed upstream. (Presume it’s the Ashdown bird). Then again flying north east along the north bank ridge.

West End:- 61 Canada Goose, 11 Mandarin Duck, 2 Teal, 16 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Stock Dove, 5 Woodpigeon, 5  Moorhen, 23 Lapwing, 3 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Common Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 142 Black-headed Gull, 2 Great Black-backed Gull, 11 Common Tern – 8 adults, 3 young, 18 Grey Heron, 10 Little Egret, 2 Common Buzzard, 1 Kingfisher, 3 Magpie, 4 Carrion Crow, 1 Marsh Tit, 2 Blue Tit, 2 Barn Swallow, 1 Wren, 7 Pied Wagtail.

West End:- 7 Black-tailed Godwit most in summer plumage, 4 Green Sandpiper, 4 Common Sandpiper, 2 Little Ringed Plover + 1 chick, 1 Teal, 21 Little Egret, 31 Lapwing, 175 Black-headed Gull, 31 Pied Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Kingfisher, 10 Egyptian Geese, Mallard + 2 tiny ducklings, 8 Common Tern + 8 young still.

West End:- 5 Common Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, 2 Little Ringed Plover + 2 chicks, 30 Lapwing, 7 Little Egret, 54 Mallard, 1 Kingfisher, 17 Pied Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Hobby.

West End:- around 10.30 – Common Tern chick flapping wings on right raft, 6 Redshank, 2 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, Little Ringed Plovers by Plawhatch stream, 150+ Black-headed Gulls of which only1 juvenile, Kingfisher hovering/fishing near rafts, juvenile Robin on peanuts chased off by Nuthatch.

West End:- 8 Greylag Goose, 17 Canada Goose, 10 Egyptian Goose– 2 adults, 8 juveniles, 20 Mandarin Duck, 17 Mallard, 2 Teal, 5 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Stock Dove, 1 Collared Dove, 4 Moorhen, 23 Lapwing, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 4 Common Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, 70 Black-headed Gull, 10 Common Tern – 6 adults, 4 young, 16 Cormorant, 20 Grey Heron, 6 Little Egret, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Hobby, 3 Magpie, 4 Carrion Crow, 1 Marsh Tit, 3 Blue Tit, 1 Great Tit, 2 Barn Swallow, 4 House Martin, 1 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Blackbird, 1 Robin, 1 Dunnock, 15 Pied Wagtail.
