Dam End:- 22 Great Crested Grebe, 5 Grey Heron, 1 Mute Swan, 4+4 well-grown young Canada Geese, 2 + 7 small young Egyptian Geese, 13 Mandarin, 12+2 y Mallard, 1 Red Kite flyover, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 1 Herring Gull flyover, 6 Swift, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Swallow, 4 House Martin, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 4+2 juv Grey Wagtail, 5 Pied Wagtail, nesting pair of Blackbird, 3 Song Thrush, 3 Mistle Thrush, 3 Whitethroat, 2 Garden Warbler, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 3 Jay, 2 Jackdaw flyover, 1 Crow, 1 Chaffinch, 2 Goldfinch, 1m Bullfinch.  (No sign of Nightingale off North Bank footpath; but noted a couple of Twayblade still in flower along the path).
West End:-  11 Great Crested Grebe, 6 Grey Heron, 51 Cormorant,  34 Greylag,  8+3y Mallard, 2 Canada Geese, 8 pairs of Common Tern nesting on rafts, 1 Kingfisher 1 Stock Dove, 1 Reed Warbler, 2 Whitethroat nesting, 1 Goldcrest heard, 2 Nuthatch. Also 2 Speckled Wood butterflies at Car Park.
Whillet’s:- 1f+4 well-grown young Mallard, 5 Buzzards circling high, 1 Moorhen, 1 Kingfisher, 2 juv Stonechat, 3 Reed Warbler, 3 Whitethroat, 1 Garden Warbler, 1 Blackcap, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Yellowhammer singing. Also at least 6 Smooth Newts in Meadow Pond.
Whillet’s Insects:-
Damselflies:  30+ Azure, 2 Blue-tailed, 8 White-legged damselfly (see pics), 3 Large Red, also 5+ Beautiful Demoiselle (See pic), 1 Banded Demoiselle (See pic).
Dragonflies: 2f Emperor – egg laying, 1f Broad-bodied Chaser, 1 Downy Emerald seen at Whillet’s bridge.
Butterflies: Up to 5 Common Blue, 2 Small Copper, 3 Small Heath, 1 Red admiral.
Day-flying Moths:  3 Burnet Companion, 1 Cinnabar, 1 Blood Vein.
