West End :- even in the rain was rather birdy today with the usual ducks inc’ the 2 Goosanders. They seemed to be enjoying the weather, even the Great-crested Grebes were displaying. 2 Water Rails were noted at Whillett’s with another by the feeders to the left of the hide. The feeders being very busy with a Siskin joining the Marsh and Coal Tit amongst others. The Great Egret was seen in flight at the west end too, it was heading towards the dam. 3 Redwings were in the c/pk and 2 Kingfishers were hanging out opposite the hide.

Dam End :- the Great Egret had taken to standing in the large puddle in the field to the right as you are just entering the reservoir gates. Same as yesterday. At the reservoir the first Sand Martin of the year was bird of the day, whilst on the grassy slope a Buzzard, Jay, 2 Mistle Thrushes and a lovely Stoat.
