West End – Ad male Goshawk, Raven high over south bank, party of LT Tits in car park, Reed Warbler, 2 Blackcaps, Marsh Tit, 2 Treecreepers, one of them a youngster, just 2 Swallows, still a Mute Swan.

West End from 8am. A lot of different sp. contact calls. A Treecreeper sat above the sign calling for 15 minutes. Couldn’t see it 🤷🏼‍♂️ Teenage Tern looking good out doing feather maintenance. No raptors.

Great White Egret just flew across from the Snipe’s favourite spot to far bank – Common Terns doing well & female Mandarin clearly visible near Kingfisher bank.

64 Herting Gull, 3 x Lesser Black Backed – 30+ BH Gulls, 1 x Grey Heron, 1 Swallow, 1 x Pied Wagtail at Dam end.
More Pied Wags rear of the dam – no visible waders.

Little egret, Great White egret, 2 Cattle egrets, goldcrest, tree creeper, 10 cormorant, 2 Canada geese, 7 common terms, Black headed gull, 10+ great crested grebes, chiffchaff, 2 blackcap, goldfinch, wren, wood pigeon, jackdaw, lesser black backed gull, rook, carrion crow, Great spotted woodpecker & tawny owl heard.

WeirWood early afternoon and 2 adult Cattle Egrets had arrived plus a Little Egret at the west end but missed the Great Egret. The Common Terns nests were still active as were the Black-headed Gulls. Also several lazy looking Great-crested Grebes. At the dam thankfully the Great Egret flew to the south bank across the reservoir but was lost to view behind the new reed bed annoyingly. 50 various gulls of 4 species were present with 26 Herring Gulls of various ages and single Great and Lesser Black-backed. The obligatory Red Kite flew along the north ridge, and that was it for me. I was only here for 30minutes and for the first time saw 4 herons species in one day here.

West End:- 24 x Greylag Goose, 11 x Canada Goose, 2 x Black-headed Gull, 9 x Common Tern, 11 x Great Crested Grebe, 27 x Great Cormorant, 1 x Little Egret, 2 x Western Cattle-Egret, 4 x Grey Heron, 2 x Common Buzzard, 1 x Common Reed Warbler, 1 x Common Chiffchaff

Great White and 2 Cattle Egrets still At West End when I popped by at 12:30 and currently showing well.

A breezy east end. GWE seen flying back west. Common Sandpiper on the dam, 45 BH, 7 Herring, 2 LBB, 1 GBB, Bar-headed Goose with the Canadas and Greylags, 10 Egyptians, 2 Common Terns, pair of Moorhens with 3 chicks on the lagoon.
