West end from 3.00pm. Plenty of Buzzards about and busy displaying. Female Kingfisher sat for ages close to the nesting holes. The male arrived and sat alongside her for a while before disappearing, to return 10 minutes later with a good size fish , which after some posturing he then gave to her followed by mating. Also two very vocal Marsh tits around the feeders.

WeirWood early afternoon at te west end. 4 Sand Martins were present near the canoeist beach, also a Barn Swallow. Male Goshawk was seen over Admirals wood again plus a Great Egret flew over the heronry. The only gull was a Black-headed on one of the nest platforms and only 2 Great-crested Grebes were seen, but no ducks of note. The feeders were as usual busy inc’ Nuthatch, Marsh and Coal Tit and a Siskin male. 2 Kingfishers were around the nesting holes looking very interested indeed. At Whillett’s 4 Greenfinches, a Grey Wagtail and Reed Bunting. No sign of the egret here though.
