West End:- 17 Tufted Duck, 8 Common Pochard, 3 Coot, 2 Egyptian Geese

West End:- 7 Common Pochard, 11 Tufted Dark, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Coot, 1 Gadwall, 9 Mallard, 2 Egyptian Geese, 1 Black-headed Gull, 1 Raven, 4 Lesser Redpoll, 2 Siskin,

Whillet’s:- Little Egret flyover, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Buzzard, Tawny Owl heard.
From 15:20 to 16:20  at least 4,375 Starlings came into the reed bed in 42 various-size flocks from 1500 down to a few hundred with many smaller flocks of 10 to 50. The overall total came to 4375.
It was difficult to pick out Reed Buntings from the Starling flocks but at least 12 came in over the period.

Whillet’s:- Between 15:00-16:00 total of 43 Reed Buntings and 6,300 Starlings roosted at the Reedbed. 2 Moorhen and 2 Water Rail heard. 40 Redwing, 2 Little Egret, 3 Siskin, 1 Buzzard, 11 Goldfinch and 120 Black-headed Gulls flew over. In 2nd Meadow a JACK SNIPE flushed up from wet area, 4 Egyptian Geese, 8 Mandarin and 4 Teal flew up river at dusk. At least 2 Tawny Owl heard and 2 Fieldfare seen.A Kingfisher flew along the river.

West End:- Pair of Goosander still, 6 Pochard, 1 Tufted Duck, 2 Coot plus the usual on the water and at the feeders,

West End:- Pair of Goosander, 2 pairs of Gadwall, 6 Pochard, 3 Tufted Duck, 3 Buzzard, 2 Fieldfare, Marsh Tit.
Whillet’s:- Water Rail heard, 2 Reed Bunting, 12 Redwing.

West End:- Pair of Goosander still off Pintail point. 6 Pochard, 1 Tufted Duck, 10 Coot,  1 Mandarin, 2 Little Grebe, 1 Grey Heron, 20 Mallard + 1 white feral, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Marsh Tit, 2 Coal Tit, 1 Nuthatch, 3 Chaffinch, 1 Goldfinch.

2nd December 2023 – West End:- Mute Swan  2, Northern Shoveler  4, Gadwall  3, Mallard  5, Common Pochard  6, Goosander  2, Great Crested Grebe  8, Stock Dove  1, Common Moorhen  1, Great Cormorant  8, Little Egret  1, Grey Heron  3, Great Spotted Woodpecker  1, Marsh Tit  1, Eurasian Blue Tit  3, Great Tit  2, Redwing  3, Fieldfare  18, Common Chaffinch  1, European Goldfinch  4.

3rd December 2023 – West End:- Canada Goose  3, Gadwall  4, Eurasian Wigeon 2, Mallard  12, Eurasian Teal  2, Common Pochard  5, Tufted Duck  9, Goosander  2, Common Pheasant  4, Great Crested Grebe  9, Stock Dove  2, Common Woodpigeon  5, Common Moorhen  1, Eurasian Coot  6, Black-headed Gull  2, Great Cormorant  13, Grey Heron  2, Common Buzzard  1, Great Spotted Woodpecker  1, Common Magpie  2, Carrion Crow  2, Coal Tit  1, Marsh Tit  1, Eurasian Blue Tit  6, Great Tit  3, Eurasian Nuthatch  1, Eurasian Wren  1, Redwing  16, Eurasian Blackbird  1, Fieldfare  4, European Robin  1, Dunnock  1, Common Chaffinch  1, European Goldfinch  3.

West End:- 2 Goosander (1 drake 1 redhead), 6 Pochard, 4 Shoveler, 4 Gadwall, 2 Mandarin, 9 Coot, 1 Moorhen, 2 Mute Swan, 14 Great Crested Grebe, 14 Mallard, 2 Grey Heron, 71 Cormorant, 20 Fieldfare, 5 Redwing, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Chaffinch, 6 Goldfinch, 2 Reed Bunting, 3 Little Egret dropped in to roost, 1300 Starlings flew over West End and dropped into Whillet’s Reed bed to roost.
