Dam End:- Drizzly early morning Little Ringed Plover on the dam. Common Tern, Whitethroat below the dam and a Swift over. I don’t see many Collared Doves here, so one at the pumping station was noteworthy.

Dam End:- 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Common Tern, 7 Great Black-backed Gull, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 3 Herring Gull, 7 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Mandarin, 1 Sand Martin, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Blackcap, 1 Sparrowhawk, 5 Buzzard, 1 Raven.

West End:-  32 Grey Heron, 42 Cormorant, 6 Greylag Geese, 1 Egyptian Goose,  1 white feral duck, 1 Red Kite, 2 Buzzard, 5 Coot, 1 Black-headed Gull, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 3 Stock Dove, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Marsh Tit, 1 Coal Tit, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Reed Bunting.
Whillet’s:- 1 Bullfinch.
Also 1 Large Red Damselfly, 1 Comma and 2 Peacock butterflies, 5 Fallow Deer, 1 Fox, 1 Common Lizard, 1 Common Shrew, 1 Water Shrew, several field voles and toads, 3 Wood Mice.

West End:- In the light rain an Osprey was not put off by the weather, circling looking for breakfast at 6:55ish.
Dam End:- a single Common Tern and a male Wheatear on the dam. Then the rain really set in.

Dam End:- 2 Magpie, 4 Rook, 1 Carrion Crow, 2 Great Tit, 6 Swallow, 2 Long-tailed Tit, 2 Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, 2 Wren, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Mistle Thrush, 3 Robin, 1 Wheatear, 3 Dunnock, 1 Grey Wagtail, 9 Pied Wagtail (yarrellii), 7 Goldfinch, 1 Yellowhammer, 2 Canada Goose, 3 Egyptian Goose, 1 Mallard, 1 Stock Dove.

Dam End:- 1 male Northern Wheatear in horse paddock with 2 Goldfinch,1 Green Woodpecker and 21 Pied Wagtail. 1 Common Tern, 1 immature Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Herring Gull, 7 House Martin and 6 Swallow.

West End:- another bright day with Water Rail and male Red-crested Pochard.
Dam End:- Yellow Wagtail on the dam plus a Common Sandpiper. Several House Martins about and 5 Common Terns passed through. Below the dam my first Whitethroat of the year.
