Dam End:- 6 Whimbrel flew low through reservoir E over Dam at 10:30, 4 Common Terns, 2 Coots, 2 Egyptian Geese, 4 Pied Wagtails, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 7 Herring Gulls, 2 Goldfinch, 1 Treecreeper, 3 Tufted Duck, 30 House Martins, 30 Sand Martins and 40 Swallows.

West End (11:00 – 11:45):- Egyptian, Greylag, and Canada Geese (two of each); singles of Mandarin (m),  Swallow, and Tern (presumably Common). Nuthatch and the usual Great Crested Grebes, Herons, Cormorants, and Mallards.

Dam End:- 1 Drake Common Scoter, 1 Arctic Tern and 4 adult Mediterranean Gulls which flew E, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 1 Herring Gull, 2 Coot, 1 Mallard with 6 young, Kingfisher, 2 Ravens, 1 Red Kite, 1 Goshawk, 6 Buzzards, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 House Martin, 6 Swallow, 2 Pied Wagtails, 2 Blackcaps, 2 Stock Doves, 1 Whitethroat.
Later a Dunlin was reported on Dam.
Whillet’s:- 1 Whitethroat, 1 Reed Bunting, 1 Mandarin.
Butterflies:- 5 Peacock, 4 Orange Tip, 4 Comma, 1 Brimstone, 3 Small Tortoiseshell.

Dam End:- Green Sandpiper briefly on the Dam, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Tufted Ducks, 3 Mandarin, 2 Goldcrest, pair of Chaffinch in Paddock, 4 Blackcaps, 4 Chiffchaffs, 3 Swallows.
Whillet’s:- 1 Male Yellowhammer, 1 male Whitethroat, 4 Chiffchaffs, 3 Blackcaps, 3 Mandarin in River, 2 male Reed Buntings, 1 Grey Wagtail, 3 Buzzards, 2 distant Goshawks, 2 Jay. 1 Small Tortoiseshell butterfly.

Dam End:- Mid-afternoon my first Whitethroat singing in scrub behind the Dam, Little Ringed Plover on Dam while a Red Kite was sat on top of the Dam. 2 Grey Wagtails in outflow, 5 Swallows around and a Raven flew over, 2 Blackcaps and a Goldcrest in woods.

All Reservoir:- 21 Grear Crested Grebe, 7 Greylag, 20 Canada Geese, 6 Mandarin, 18 Mallard, 4 Grey Wagtail, 5 Pied Wagtail, 8 Blackcap, 7 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest, 2 Chaffinch, 9 Goldfinch, 5 Bullfinch.
Dam End:- 1 Little Egret, 1 Red Kite, 2 Buzzard,  2 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Green Sandpiper (briefly), 1 Common Sandpiper (briefly), 5 + 2 flyover Lesser Black-backed Gull, 4 Herring Gull, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 6 Sand Martin, 30 Swallows, 5 House Martin, 1 Meadow Pipit (briefly),  1 Wheatear (Paddock), 2 Song Thrush, 1 Mistle Thrush heard, 1 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Jay, 4 Magpie, 23 Rook nests at rookery, 5 House Sparrow (Paddock), 1m Reed Bunting.
Lagoon:– 1 Little Grebe, 1 Moorhen.
West End:- 58 Cormorant, 30 Grey Heron (first young at a nest – See pic),  1 immature Mute Swan (See pic), 2 Egyptian Geese, 1 Kestrel, 1 Coot, 2 Stock Dove, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Raven flyover.
Whillets:-  8 Jackdaw flyover. Also 1 male Orange Tip butterfly (see pic) and Bee flies seen on the wing.
