Whillets Meadows – Main Pond: Pair of Common Darter dragonflies ovipositing plus another 1 female.

West End and Pintail Bank: 62 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 105 Greylag + 1 strange looking Canada/Greylag hybrid, 6M+3F Mandarin (including 4 drakes displaying in full plumage), 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Buzzard, 6 Snipe, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Pied Wagtail, 2 Redwing, 1 Marsh Tit, 2 Nuthatch, 1 Tree Creeper, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Long-tailed Tit, Wren and many Pheasants seeking sanctuary.

West End: Snipe, Green Sandpiper, Buzzard (perched), Kingfisher, Teal (2m,2f), Mandarins (2m,2f), Lapwings, Grey Herons, Black-headed Gulls, Canada Geese, Greylag Geese, Cormorants, Great Crested Grebes, Mallards, and Pheasants.

West End: 48 Great Crested Grebe, 56 Cormorant, 2 Grey Heron, 85 Greylag, 30 Canada Geese (and later 110 on 26/10), 4M + 2F Mandarin, 25 Teal,  18 Mallard, 15 Pheasant, 10 Moorhen, 46 Lapwing, 9 Snipe, 1 Green Sandpiper, 30 Black-headed Gull, 6 Stock Dove, 1 Kingfisher + 1 @ Whillets, 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Pied Wagtail, 1 Jay, 5 Starling (flying over).

Fairy Inkcaps

West End: 8 Snipe, 1 Green Sandpiper, 15 Teal, 7 Lapwing.

West End:  1 Green Sandpiper, 5 Snipe, 6 Lapwing, 16 Teal, 1 Buzzard, 10 Moorhen, 1 Nuthatch, 5 Goldfinch.

West End and North Bank: 3 Kingfisher, 4 Snipe, Little Egret, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, Peregrine, Common Buzzard, large flocks of Greylag and Canada Geese, several Mandarin Ducks including males in fresh full plumage, group of Teal, flock of Lapwing and many Great Crested Grebe.

WeBS – All reservoir counts:   89 Great Crested Grebe, 30 Cormorant, 2 Kingfisher,  39 Mallard, 14 Moorhen, 2 Kestrel, 118 Black-headed Gull.

West End: 1 Little Egret, 1 Green Sandpiper, 9 Snipe, 52 Lapwing, 186 Greylag, 67 Canada Geese, 2 Mandarin, 1M Gadwall, 50 Teal, 1 Buzzard, 2 Pied Wagtail, c.20 Jackdaw.

Dam End: 1 Herring Gull, Green Woodpecker heard, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 5 Meadow Pipit, 1 Grey Wagtail, 8 Goldfinch.

Whillets: 1 Jay, 2 Swallow.

West End: 1 Grey Wagtail, 2 Pied Wagtail, 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Snipe, 1 Lapwing, 27 Teal, 1 Little Egret, 3M+1F Mandarin, 209 Greylag, 15 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 2 Stock Dove, 1 Kingfisher.
