    West End:- 8 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 2 Kingfisher, 13 adult and 9 young Great Crested Grebe, 30 Mallard, 7 Mandarin Duck, 2 Mute Swan, 3 Teal, 1 male Reed Bunting.
    Dam End:- 125 Black-headed Gull, 3 Common Sandpiper, 6 Common Tern, 8 Egyptian Geese, 3 Goldfinch, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 18 Great Crested Grebe, 5 Grey Heron, 2 Grey Heron, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 22 Mallard, 15 Mandarin, 6 Swallow, 2 Swift, 2 Mute Swan.
    Whillet’s:- 3 Reed Bunting, 2 Whitethroat, 3 Reed Warbler, 1 Brown Argus butterfly.

    Dam End:- 1 Redshank, 4 Common Sandpiper, 12 Lapwing, 3 Pied Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, 120 Black-headed Gull, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2 adult Common Tern feeding 2 fledged young on pontoon, 2 Grey Heron, 2 Egyptian Geese + 6 young, 2 adult Moorhen + 3 young+1 young at Lagoon, 21 Great Crested Grebe +2 young, 3 Greylag Geese, 80 Canada Geese, 26 House Martin, 2 Sand Martin, 1 Swallow, 10 Swift, 2 Mandarin Duck, 21 Mallard, 1 juv Sedge Warbler behind dam, 6 Common Whitethroat, 2 Blackcap, 1 Chiffchaff.
    West End:- 1 Kingfisher taking small fish to nest, 2 Shoveler, 3 Teal, 6 Mandarin Duck, 31 Mallard, 6 Mute Swan, 1 Coot, 4 adult Common Tern + 7 fledged young, 2 adult Black-headed Gull +  3 fledged young, Great Crested Grebe included several groups of young 2+3+2.

    West End:- 2 of the Black-headed Gull chicks were flying around this afternoon so have now fledged.
    Whillet’s:- 3 Comma, 34 Gatekeeper, 12 Green-veined White, 1 Marbled White, 57 Meadow Brown, 6 Peacock, 6 Red Admiral, 2 Small Copper, 23 Small Skipper, 1 Small White, 4 Grass Snake, 2 Blue-tailed Damselfly, 1 Common Darter, 1 Emperor Dragonfly, 1 White-legged Damselfly, 6 Willow Emerald Damselfly, 1 Singing male Reed Bunting.

    West End:- 4 Coot, 7 Mute Swan, 6 Mandarin Duck, 26 Mallard, 17 Great Crested Grebe including adults with 2+4 young still, 3 Black-headed Gull chicks + adults, seems to be just 2 Common Tern chicks that haven’t fledged yet.
    Whillet’s:- 1 singing male Reed Bunting, 6 Common Tern high over heading west,
    Butterfly survey – 9 Comma, 2 Essex Skipper, 47 Gatekeeper, 12 Green-veined White, 2 Holly Blue, 2 Marbled White, 66 Meadow Brown, 11 very fresh Peacock, 5 Red Admiral, 6 Ringlet, 3 Small Copper, 27 Small Skipper, 1 Silver Y.
    Damselfies – 1 Brown Hawker, 18 Willow emerald, 7 Blue-tailed Damselfly.

    West End:- from north bank  Honey Buzzard at 08:35, juvenile Goshawk at 08:45 and an Osprey flew in from high west at 09:20.

    West End:-  1 Red Kite, 1 Buzzard, 1 Hobby, 3 Swift, 6 House Martin, 3 Coot, 7 Lapwing, 1 Pied Wagtail.
    Whillet’s:- 1 Kingfisher, 2 Reed Bunting.
    Damselflies: 1 Small Red at meadow pond a new species for the reserve, 1 Willow Emerald, 1 Blue-tailed, 2+ Common Blue, many Azure.
    Dragonflies:  1 Ruddy Darter, 1 Brown Hawker, 2 Emperor.
    Moths: 2 Six Spot Burnet, several Cinnabar moth caterpillars on Marsh Ragwort.
    Butterflies: 1 Painted Lady, 2 Essex Skipper, 2 Marbled White, 1 Comma.

    Dragonfly highlights – 4 Beautiful Demoiselle, 1 Emperor, 2 Common Darter, 1 Brown Hawker.
    Damselflies – 2 Blue-tailed, 3 Willow Emerald, 2 White-legged.
