West End:- From dawn; 3 Gadwall, 2 Pintail, 40+ Teal, 3 Marsh Tit, Grey Wagtail and loads of Egyptian Geese.
Dam End:- male Common Scoter was a nice surprise, still Redwings about and several Siskins. -

1 Fox. 1 White Hart. Gas Gun operating on North Shore. -

A frosty, 1.0C, misty start produced 2 f Pintail at the west end, Also a good showing of Teal and 6 Tufted Duck. Several Siskin plus a Raven, Sky Lark, 14 Meadow Pipit and 24 Redwing. Best was a female Goshawk over the West End.

All Reservoir:- 20 Cormorant, 10 Grey Heron, 42 Teal, 48 Mallard, 2 Kestrel, 7 Moorhen, 22 Coot, 8 Lapwing, 2 Snipe, 2 Kingfisher, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 4 Chiffchaff, 3 Goldcrest, 9 Long-tailed Tit, 5 Jay, 9 Crow, 12 Goldfinch, 5 Siskin.Dam End:- 27 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Little Egret flyover, 6 Egyptian Geese, 23 Mandarin Duck, 1F Marsh Harrier flew down the length of the reservoir, 15 Black-headed Gull, 2 Herring Gull, 17 Meadow Pipit, 3 Grey Wagtail, 7 Pied Wagtail, 2 Mistle Thrush, 1 Marsh Tit
West End:- 3 Mute Swan, 62 Greylag, 9 Canada Geese, 2 Pintail, 5 Tufted Duck, 3 Buzzard, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Common Gull flyover, 3 Stock Dove, 2 Skylark flyover, 1 Nuthatch, 50+ Jackdaw flyover, 5+ Rook flyover.
Whillet’s:- 2 Stonechat, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Redwing, 6 Chaffinch, 3 Lesser Redpoll, Bullfinch heard, 1 Reed Bunting.
Also 2 Muntjac, 1 Grass snake – plus 2 joined pairs of Willow Emerald Damselfly and several Common Darter & 1 Migrant Hawker were seen near meadow pond. 3 Red Admirals & 1 Small White butterflies -

Watching from dawn produced 2 Green Sandpiper, 3 Brent Geese over, a Great Egret flew over Whillett’s and Raven at the west end. At the dam a few Siskin about plus 19 Redwing, a Fieldfare and 4 Mistle Thrush. Then the rain set in.

Lots of Redwing probably more than 1000 through by 09:00, also Fieldfare. Best was Short-eared Owl, only my 2nd here, along the north bank ridge at 08:00.
