WeirWood on a delightful fairly brief visit was worth the effort, unlike the few previous days with female Goshawk over mid reservoir from along the north bank. Also of note redhead Goosander and 2 Little Egrets. In the woodland 2 Chiffchaffs with another in the dam end c/pk. A male Bullfinch was noted plus a Marsh Tit along the north bank. A Red Kite was with 3 Buzzards at one point just circling overhead. All in about an hour early afternoon.

Dam end:- 2 singing Chiffchaffs, 2 Red Kites, 3 Buzzards, 1 female Goshawk & 2 Mistle Thrushes.

West End (Early afternoon) :- 1 Goosander (redhead), 8 Wigeon, 2 pairs of Mandarins, 3 Teal, 1 Coot, 8 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Egyptian geese, 35 Canada geese, 3 Chaffinch, 2 Buzzards, 2 Stock doves.

West End: 4 Little Egret, 8 wigeon, 2 Coot.
Whillet’s: Barn Owl and Marsh Tit.

West End (Mid afternoon) :- 2 Little Egrets, 5 Pochards, 4 Gadwall, 4 Wigeon, 6 Teal, 1 Mandarin, 1 Tufted Duck, 1 Coot, 2 Egyptians, 3 Great Crested Grebe, 25 Canada Geese, 15 Grey Heron, 2 Buzzards, 2 Mistle Thrush, 2 Chaffinch, 2 Goldfinch & 2 Long Tailed tits.

West End (AM) :- 1F Goosander, 1 Canada/Greylag hybrid, 6 Wigeon, 6 Pochard, Marsh & Coal Tit.
37 Heron nests & 11 Cormorant nests noted.

Wet End (Mid afternoon) :- 1 Great White Egret, 1 Little egret, 2 Egyptian geese, 21 Canada geese, 2 Greylags, 1 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 2 Great crested grebes, 4 Tufted duck, 6 Wigeon, 2 Pochard, 5 Teal, 3 Mandarin, 13 Common Buzzards, 10 Stock dove and a Chaffinch.

West End(mid afternoon):- 3 Teal, 2 Wigeon, 8 Tufted Duck, 7 Pochards, 1 Coot & 2 Egyptian geese on stubble field.

West End (Lunchtime visit) :- Not very birdy. No Goosander. Best: 7 Buzzards in a thermal, pair of Red Kites flew over as I arrived.

Dame End :- GW Egret still in field.

West End :- 11 X Canada Goose, 3 X Mandarin Duck, 8 X Mallard, 1 X Mallard (Domestic type), 7 X Common Pochard, 8 X Tufted Duck (4M, 4F), 2 X Common Pheasant, 3 X Stock Dove, 1 X Common Woodpigeon, 1 X Common Moorhen, 1 X Eurasian Coot, 2 X Great Crested Grebe, 17 X Great Cormorant, 41 X Grey Heron, 1 X Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 X Common Magpie, 1 X Carrion Crow, 1 X Coal Tit, 1 X Marsh Tit, 12 X Eurasian Blue Tit, 4 X Great Tit, 2 X Long-tailed Tit, 1 X European Robin, 2 X Dunnock, 1 X Common Chaffinch, 1 X European Goldfinch
