Dam End:- Artic Terns, Great White Egret & 2 Garden warblers.

Dam End:- WeirWood was decidedly damp this morning but the birding was okay with Black, Arctic and 2 Common Terns from the dam, the Arctic was particularly lovely in flight. On the dam a pair of Little-ringed Plovers and a Common Sand. Plenty of hirundines in now, with the Barn Swallows were smaller numbers of House Martins. In the c/pk a Garden Warbler has joined the Blackcaps singing away and below the dam in the bushes the by now usual Whitethroat.
West End:- 2 more Common Terns on one of the platforms, 2 Kingfishers

West End:- 2 Common Snipe flushed at Pintail, also 2 Barn Owls seen roosting. 2 Garden Warblers heard singing.
Whillets:- a Jack Snipe was accidentally flushed. Large Red damselfly at Meadow Pond. Reed Warbler heard, male Bullfinch.
Several Orange Tip & GV White butterflies seen.
West end:- 2 Common Terns on raft, Garden Warbler singing in the study area and Marsh Tit sitting on eggs in one of the nest boxes.
West End (mid afternoon):- 61 Herring Gull, 6 Lesser Black Backed, 1 Great Black Backed, 2 Black Headed Gull – all Gulls down on the water together. Noted Great Crested Grebe pair building a nest. 6 Stock Dove, 2 Egyptian Geese, 1 Buzzard, 1 Red Kite, 2+ Blackcap.
Whillet’s:- Blackcap, Whitethroat & Chiffchaff all noted.
Dam End (AM):- just a single Common Sandpiper on dam with a female Grey Wagtail and a Little Ringed Plover. Sedge Warbler by the outflow.
Tern sp E over dam plus 2 Black headed gulls,3 Lesser black back on water.20+ Swallows and pair of Mandarins.
Dam End (PM):- 2 Little ringed plovers and male Grey wag on dam. On slope Green Woodpecker and Mistle thrush and Whitethroat in scrub. 33 Swallows and 1 House Martin over water, no Terns but 7 Herring Gull ,2 Lesser Black Backed and 1 Great Black Backed gulls.

Dam End (AM):- 75 Swallows, 1 House Martin, 2 Sand Martins, 1 Common Sandpiper, 2 Lesser black backed gulls, 1 Coot, 7 Mandarins, Sparrowhawk, Marsh Tit, 4 Pied Wagtails, Jay.
Dam End:- Today a Wheatear was on the top of the dam, a nice male, whilst on the waters edge 3 Whimbrel, a summer Dunlin and 2 Common Sands. The Whimbrel and Dunlin flew of north at 6:55. On and over the water 9 Mandarins, Kingfisher, a pair of Great Black-backed Gulls, several Barn Swallows inc’ with them 4 Sand and 3 House Martins plus a nice Swift. 2 Common Scoter males mid reservoir, these flew north at 6:50. Whillets:- 1 singing Reed Warbler.
