Evening, about 10 Black Terns around the meridian visible from fishing lodge, 2 Pied Wagtails on dam. One of the Grey Wagtails was taken by a Sparrowhawk last week. The 3 fledgling Tawny Owls have left the nest box at Whillet’s. Great Crested Grebes displaying.

West End 14:30:- Red Kite circling over the woods on the north bank. Watched from the car park.

West End:- 1 Terrapin, 2 Common Brown Rats in car park (pic), 4 Common Terns, 2 Great Crested Grebe nests seen, 10 Cormorant nests including an early Heron nest which has been vacated and is now housing a Cormorant pair with 3 young, 2 Greylag, 4+ Canada Geese, 3m Mandarin, 11 Mallard + female with 4 young, 1m Tufted Duck, 1 Buzzard, c30 flying high circling Herring Gulls, 4 Common Tern, Wood Pigeon nest seen, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Swallow, 2 Pied Wagtail, Song Thrush heard near Whillet’s, Reed Warbler heard singing in front of viewing area, 1 off Blackcap, Garden Warbler, Marsh Tit, Coal Tit, Nuthatch, Rook flyover.
Whillet’s:- 1 Reed Warbler heard, 2 Blackcap, 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Whitethroat, 1 Chiffchaff, also 1 Water Shrew & Slow Worm (pic).

Dam End:- 4 Common Sandpipers, 2 Garden Warblers, 6 Common Whitethroat, 3 Chiffchaff, 1m Linnet, 2 Bullfinch, 22 Goldfinch, 1 Raven, 2 Pied Wagtail, 2 Grey Wagtail, 1m Chaffinch, 1 Blackcap, 1 Goldcrest, 100 Swallow and 100 House Martins over reservoir.
NorthBank:- 5 Garden Warblers, 1 Willow Warbler, 2 Common Whitethroat, 2 Blackcap. -
