    Whillet’s:- 1 Garden Warbler carrying food, 3 Whitethroats, 1 Four-Spotted Chaser, 1 Broad-Bodied Chaser, 1 Hairy Dragonfly, 1 Beautiful Demoiselle, 1 Emperor Dragonfly, 2 White-Legged Damselfly, 5 Common Blue, 1 Meadow Brown, 4 Large Skippers, 11 Grass Snakes.

    Whillet’s:- 1 White-legged Damselfly, 2 Broad-bodied Chaser.

    West End:- 10 Common Terns, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Swallows, Mallard with 2 young.
    Whillet’s:- Dingy Skipper, 2 Common Blue, both Small Tortoiseshell and Peacock caterpillars, 2 Red-eyed Damselfly, 1 Downy Emerald, 1 Hairy Dragonfly, 1 Broad-bodied Chaser, 2 Garden Warbler, 2 Blackcap, 4 Whitethroat with one taking food to nest, Kestrel, Kingfisher.

    Dam End:-  1 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Dunlin, 3 Pied Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Moorhen, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 3 Herring Gull, 2 Common Tern.
    West End:- 6 Common Tern & 1 Pied Wagtail on rafts, 6 Great Crested Grebe nests noted (See pic), 7 Greylag, 1f Mandarin, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 4 Swallow.
    Whillets:-  1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 2 Garden Warbler. Heard were 2 Song Thrush, Reed Warbler, Chiffchaff & Whitethroat.  (Water Forget-me-not & Yellow Flag Iris now in bloom – See pics)
    Butterfly transect:- 3 Green-veined White, 2 Peacock butterflies + 1 Burnet Companion (See pic) & 2 Brown Silver Line moths.
    Also noted at Meadow Pond were 10+ pairs of Azure and 1 pair of Large Red Damselflies all ovipositing + 1 Blue-tailed Damselfly, 1m Hairy & 1m Broad -bodied Chaser (see pic) Dragonflies. 1 Beautiful Demoiselle.

    West End (car park10.30-11.00):- 3 Swallows, 1 House Martin, 1 Stock Dove, 29 Cormorants, 26 Great Crested Grebe, 8 Canada Geese, 8 Mallard, 7 Common Terns, 11 Grey Herons, 1 Buzzard overhead, 2 Terrapins on log. Numerous Woodpigeons and Carrion Crows.
    Willet’s Pond (11.05-11.30);- 1 Reed Bunting m, 2 Reed Warblers, 1 Moorhen, 2 Mallard, 2 Blackcap m&f.
    Standen to Dam (11.45-15.05):- 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2 Herring Gulls, 3 Hobbies from picnic area over reservoir catching insects, Common Terns, 1 Whitethroat, 1 Chiffchaff.

    Dam End (evening):- 1 Black Tern, 8 Common Tern, 4 Tufted Duck, 1 Mandarin Duck, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, Pied Wagtail nest in water tower.

    Whillet’s:- 2 Muntjuc Deer, 1 Grass Snake, 1 Downy Emerald, 1 Hairy Dragonfly ovipositing, 1 Beautiful Demoiselle, 1 Southern Hawker, 2 Small Copper, 1 Common Blue, 1 Speckled Wood, 1 Mother Shipton moth.

    WeBS visit produced the following:

    All reservoir: 43 G C Grebe, 27 Cormorant (8 nests now have young), 16 Grey Heron (Some young have fledged and nests are becoming empty), 7+3Y Canada Geese, 3 + 10 ducklings  Mandarin, 26 Mallard, 3 Coot, 2 Stock Dove, 6 Swallow, 2 + 3 recently fledged young Pied Wagtail, 2 Song Thrush, 2 Garden Warbler, 3 Blackcap.

    Dam end: 1 Mute Swan,  3 Common Sandpiper, 1 Green Woodpecker, 4 House Martin, 1 Grey Wagtail, 3 Whitethroat, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Jay, 2+ Rook, 2 Goldfinch, 1 Reed Bunting.  Also 2 Mink.

    West End: 4 Greylag, 1 Red Kite, 2 Buzzard, 9 Common Tern @ rafts, 1 Kingfisher, 1 G S Woodpecker, also 2 Terrapins

    Whillets: 1+ Reed Warbler heard, also 1 Fox. 1 Broad bodied Chaser Dragonfly.
