West End:- 13 Lapwings, 52 Great Crested Grebes.

All Reservoir:- 39 Great Crested Grebe, 44 Mallard + 1 feral hybrid, 2 Common Buzzard, 4 Moorhen, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 12 Common Tern, 2 Kingfisher, 2 Swallows, 3 Pied Wagtail, 4 Reed Warbler, 2 Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff,
Dam End:- 2 Little Egret, 26 Canada Geese, 2 Tufted Duck at Lagoon, 18 Black-headed Gull, 1 Greater Black-backed Gull, 6 Herring Gull, 50 Swift,  8 Sand Martin, 20 House Martin, 2 Grey Wagtail.
Butterflies:- 50+ Small White butterflies in meadows behind Sailing Club,  also 1 Small Tortoiseshell, Gatekeeper and Silver Washed Fritillary.
West End:  2 Little Grebe, 30 Cormorant, 14 Grey Heron, 2 Mute Swan, 91 Greylag, 1 Tufted Duck, 10 Lapwing, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Stock Dove,  3 Crossbill flew over calling.
Whillets:- 1 Kestrel, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Whitethroat, 1 Garden Warbler,  3 Goldfinch, Bullfinch heard.
Butterfly transect survey:- 2 Red Admiral, 28 Meadow Brown, 7 Comma, 2 Peacock, 3 Small White, 1 Large White, 2 Marbled White, 10 Large Skipper, 3 Small Copper, 21 Ringlet, 19 Small Skipper.
Also noted:- 1 Blue-tailed and 6 White-legged Damselflies, 6 Grass snakes, several  Field Voles and 1 Common Shrew.

Deer on North Bank.

Dam End:- Osprey early morning.
West End:- 3 Crossbills flew over SE.

30/06 and 01/07 Osprey reported both days early morning coming over the Dam.

Dam End:- (07:01-07:35) 16 Greylag Geese, 11 Canada Geese, 1Mallard, 6 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Herring Gull, 12 Black-headed Gull, 3 Common Tern, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Common Sandpiper, 3 Cormorant, 20 Swift, 6 House Martin, 1 Swallow, 2 Grey Wagtail juv.
West End:- (07:49-08:34) 33 Greylag Geese, 5 Mandarin, 5 Mallard, 18 Great Crested Grebe, 22 Cormorant, 7 Grey Heron, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Black-headed Gull, 2 Common Terns, 1 Swallow, 1 House Martin, 2 Chiffchaff.
Whillet’s:- 5 Mallard, 1 Reed Warbler.

Dam End:- 1 second summer Mediterranean Gull.

Dam End:- 1 Osprey appeared from the east over the Dam on its second attempt it caught a fish then flew south at 07:13, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Redshank, 5 Egyptian Geese, 2 Moorhen +1 juvenile, 2 Little Egrets, 2 Raven, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 13 Black-headed Gull + my first 1st summer bird, 100+ Swifts and 20 House Martins low over the water, 2 Mute Swans, 4 Mandarin, 2 Mistle Thrush, on the lagoon pair of Tufted Ducks.

West End:- 1 Little Egret, 8 Mandarin, 12 Common Tern, 2 Mute Swan, 42 Cormorant, 28 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Jay, 1 Kingfisher, 9 Swift, 3 House Martin, 2 Buzzard, 1 Red Kite, 1 Kestrel, 1 Whitethroat, 2 Bullfinch, 5 Lapwings, 6 Black-headed Gulls, 2 Goldcrest, 1 Treecreeper, 77 Greylags, 1 Mink.
Whillet’s:- 1 male Yellowhammer, 1 male Reed Bunting, 9 Whitethroats, 1 Swift, 16 House Martins, 3 Reed Warblers, 1 Chiffchaff. Also 2 Blue-tailed Damselflies,2 White-legged Damselflies.

Osprey over mid reservoir between 07:05-07:23 then flew east.
