West End; hide:- At about 6.45 pm the herons in the heronry started shouting loudly so I looked and got a good view of a White Stork slowly flying from there towards the dam end. (Ed: congratulations first record for WW).

From dawn – Osprey at 07:10, no fish caught, male Wheatear on the dam, 2 Common Terns, Common Sandpiper, Raven and at least 3 each Blackcap and Willow Warbler.

2 Canada Goose, 3 Egyptian Goose, 1 Mallard, 1 Stock Dove, 7 Woodpigeon, 6 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Lapwing, 1 Herring Gull, 6 Cormorant, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Osprey, 1 Kestrel, 2 Magpie, 3 Rook, 2 Carrion Crow, 1 Great Tit, 2 Long-tailed Tit, 3 Chiffchaff, 1 Wren, 1 Mistle Thrush, 2 Blackbird, 1 Robin, 1 Goldfinch.

Dam End:- An obvious arrival of birds today with Common Tern, 2 Willow Warblers, Redshank, 50 Swallows, 4 Sand and a House Martin.
West End:- Water Rail.

North Bank:- 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2 Green Woodpecker, 6 Swallow, 4+ Blackcap, 3+ Chiffchaff, 1 Bullfinch.
West End:-  3 Mute Swan, 5 Egyptian Geese, 2 Grey Wagtail, 1 Marsh Tit, 1 Coal Tit, 1 Jay, 1 Raven, 1m Brimstone butterfly, Plants – a few Marsh Valerian in flower.
Whillet’s:- 1 Snipe flyover, 3 Whitethroat, pair of Blackcap, 2 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Goldcrest, 2 Bullfinch.  Butterflies –  3 Orange Tip, 1 Red Admiral, 1 Peacock, 1 Small Tortoiseshell. Plants in flower: Cowslips and 2 Snakeshead fritillaries.

Dam End:- Mid afternoon 16 Swallows over dam, 1 Pied Wagtail, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 5 Egyptian Geese, 3 Mute Swans.

A great early morning produced: 3 Little Gulls, all beautiful adults and an Osprey at 7:20 from the dam.

An extensive look produced several Blackcaps, 2 Swallows, 4 Sand Martins, a pair of Shovellers, a roosting Tawny Owl along the north bank and a White Wagtail male in the paddock.

Dam End:- Osprey flew in from SE at 08:30 caught a fish at 08:38 then departed back towards Ashdown.
2 Sand Martins, 2 Mandarin, 1 Tufted Duck, 1 Blackcap, 3 Chiffchaffs, 2 Song Thrush, 2 Kestrel, 1 Jay, 2 Grey Wagtails, 7 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Collared Dove, 2 Pied Wagtails, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 immature female Goshawk.
West End:- 8 Sand Martins, 1m Yellowhammer, 3 Collared Dove, 2 Blackcap, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Marsh Tit, 2 Chaffinch, 2 Chiffchaffs, 5 Egyptian Geese, 3 Herring Gulls, 3 Mute Swans, 11 Greylags, 1 Red Kite,1  Sparrowhawk, 6 Buzzards, 2 Stock Doves.   Male Orange Tip Butterfly.
Whillets:- 2 Blackcaps, 2 Water Rail heard, 1 Kestrel, 3 Chiffchaffs, 1m Reed Bunting, female Sparrowhawk,
Butterflies- 2 Comma, 2 Peacock, 2 Small Tortoiseshell. 2 Toads.

West End:- 11 Greylag Goose, 3 Canada Goose, 3 Mute Swan, 4 Egyptian Goose, 1 Mandarin Duck, 9 Mallard, 1 Tufted Duck, 1 Pheasant, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Stock Dove, 1 Woodpigeon, 3 Collared Dove, 1  Moorhen, 33 Cormorant, 23 Grey Heron, 4 Common Buzzard, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Magpie, 2 Rook, 3 Carrion Crow, 1 Marsh Tit, 5 Blue Tit, 6 Great Tit, 2 Sand Martin, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Blackcap, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Nuthatch, 1 Wren, 1 Blackbird, 1 Robin, 1 Dunnock, 2 Chaffinch, 1 Yellowhammer.
