A beautiful morning – over 100 Swifts at 07:00 with House Martins and some Swallows. 10 Common Terns at least and 4 species of Sylvia warbler, a Hobby again and Yellow Wagtail over.

Dam End: 1 Little Grebe (lagoon), 2m+1f Tufted Duck (lagoon), Great Crested Grebe pair have a nest along South Bank, pair of Egyptian Geese have 8 goslings, 4 Canada Geese and 1 gosling, 1m Mandarin duck, 8 Mallard, 1 Hobby, 4 Black-headed Gull, 7 Herring Gull, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 10 Common Terns, 10+ Swifts, 6 Swallows, 1 Grey Wagtail, 5 Pied Wagtail, Song Thrush heard, 1 Mistle Thrush, Blackcap and Chiffchaff heard, 13 Rook, 2 Crow. Also 16 Fallow Deer in field behind sailing club. Large numbers of Mayflies.

Dam End:- about 50 Swifts, female Little Ringed Plover, 3+ Common Sandpipers, 10 Common Terns, 2 Arctic Terns, an unseasonal adult Common Gull. Whitethroats, Garden Warblers and a Lesser Whitethroat.
West End:- 8 Common Terns, Common Sandpiper, 3 Reed Warblers, 2 Marsh Tits, 2 male Tufted Ducks and Red Kite over. As I was leaving a Sanderling popped into view on Pintail bank; it went into the small scrape. The southern wind is bringing some bits in. -

West End:- 2 Greylag, 19 Canada Geese + 1 Canada x Greylag and 1 Canada x Barnacle hybrid geese. 2 Egyptian Geese, 3 Mandarin, 11 Common Tern, 2 Swallow, 1 Pied Wagtail, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Reed Warbler, 2 Raven.
Whillet’s:- 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Reed Warbler, 4+ Whitethroat, 1 Blackcap, 1 Chiffchaff. -

Spotted Flycatcher at Whillet’s and on Pintail bank a Wood Sandpiper on the small scrape. 10 Common Terns, a few Reed Warblers and a very showy Garden Warbler.

Dam End:- 1 Common Sandpiper, 25 Swallows, 1 House Martin.
Whillets:- Butterflies – 1 Small White,3 Green-Veined White,3 Orange Tips,1 Small Copper,4 Peacock,1 Brimstone,1 Comma,1 Speckled Wood,1 Mother Shipton Moth.
3 Grass Snakes under tins.
3 Beautiful Demoiselle,3 Large Red Damselfly plus 1 Pair.
3 Reed Warblers and 1 Reed Bunting at Reed Bed, 6 Whitethroat, 2 Garden Warblers around meadows. -
