The birds were spooked twice; once by a female Goshawk and then by a juvenile Marsh Harrier. The harrier was seen off by the many corvids. Pintail and Teal.

Weir Wood between the showers – Ruff, several Stonechats, ca100 Teal, 2 Wigeon, Pintail and small numbers of Redwings over. A couple of Snipe appeared and a Common Sandpiper. Early afternoon in lovely sunshine, at the dam Redshank, Raven over and a female Peregrine. At the west end adult Common Gull, Redwing on the move and 23 Meadow Pipit.

Whillet’s:- 1 Tawny Owl heard, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Buzzard.
Butterflies: 1 Clouded Yellow and 1 Small Copper.
Dragonflies: Common Darter – 4 pairs ovipositing and 4+ singles at Meadow Pond, 2 Southern Hawker, 2 Migrant Hawker. Animals: 1 f Roe Deer and 1 f +1 j Fallow Deer, Small Toads.
