West End:- 1 Little Grebe, 17 Great Crested Grebe with 2 pairs starting to nest, 67 Cormorant, 12 Grey Heron, 1 Mute Swan, 1 Greylag, 13 Canada Geese, 2 Egyptian Geese, Pair of Mandarin, 16 Mallard, 3 Buzzard, 1 immature Herring Gull being mobbed by 14 Common Terns from the rafts, 1 Stock Dove, 1 Swallow, 2 Pied Wagtail, Reed Warbler heard in front of viewing area, pair of Whitethroats.
Whillet’s:- Great Spotted Woodpecker heard, 1 Kingfisher, at least 2 Whitethroat, Bullfinch, Reed Warbler, Garden Warbler, Blackcap and Chiffchaff all heard. 2 Beautiful Demoiselle. At meadow pond – 1 Large Red Damselfly, 7+ Azure Damselflies, both Palmate and Smooth Newt and a Greater Diving Beetle.
Butterflies – Pair of Orange Tip, 1 Peacock, 1 Brimstone, 3 Small Copper, 2 Green-veined White.
Moths – Wood Carpet Moth.
