West End (Late AM):- 230+ Brent Geese flew high east. 1 Peregrine, 2 Sparrowhawk, 16 Pochards, 11 Wigeon, 9 Tufted but no Goosander or egrets. 2 Canada Geese investigating one of the rafts, 2 Marsh Tits one has a distinctive white tail.

West End (afternoon):- 1 Great White & 1 Little Egret, 2m Mandarin, 16 Wigeon, 3 Gadwall, 19 Pochard, 9 Tufted Duck, 49 Cormorants.
West End:- 3x Goosander (2M, 1F), 7 Gadwall, 5 Snipe took off from Pintail Bank, All the usual ducks present: Teal, Gadwall, Wigeon, Tufted, Pochard, Mandarin and Mallard.
Whillet’s:- 2 Water rail heard calling.

West End (Late morning) :- pair of Goosanders, Red Kite, 2 Buzzards, Jay, 23 Pochards, 17 Wigeons, 9 Teal, 4 Tufted duck, 2 Gadwall, 2 Little Grebes, 7 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Coot, 6 Moorhen, Water rail (heard), 34 Canada geese, 1 Greylag, Song Thrush, 2 Marsh tit, Bullfinch (heard) and Mandarin (heard).
West End:- WeirWood on a gloomy early morning produced the by now usual duck inc’ a pair of Goosanders. The Great and 2 Little Egrets were noted leaving the roost plus the Great-crested Grebe were out early displaying. The feeders once again played host to Coal and Marsh TIt amongst others. At 8:10 a rather early morning female Goshawk was seen from the beach area looking towards Admirals Wood. A superb powerful bird spooked the Wood Pigeons as it went on its way.
Whillett’s:- a Water Rail was noted plus 2 Reed Buntings and a male Bullfinch.
West End Heronry survey: 21 Active Heron nests & 6 Active Cormorant nests noted with still quite a few nests not yet properly occupied but still very early in the season.
West End: 1m+1f Goosander, 23 Pochard, 17 Wigeon, 10 Teal, 8 Mallard, 6 GC Grebe, 2 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 2 Egyptian & 2 Canada Geese, 13 Greylag, 1 Buzzard, 1 GS Woodpecker.
The feeders were very busy mainly Blue Tits but Great, Coal and a Marsh Tit were all noted, several Goldfinch plus Chaffinch.

West End: Quick look mid afternoon both Shovelers were asleep under the Heronry, Great white Egret flew in. Single Little Grebe and Mandarin noted, still 22 Pochards, 3 Teal and 10 Wigeon seen, more were deeper In under the trees.
A Sparrowhawk flew low in front of us while we were having lunch. Two Goshawks flew over the reservoir in the early afternoon. Earlier in the day, a Mistle Thrush was heard singing from top of a nearby tree.
