    Sightings from 14:30 to 17:00. West End; Whillets and The North Bank from canoeist’s car park area. 1 Great Northern Diver seen from The North Bank by the Ted Lecomber seat. 3 Reed Bunting at Whillets Pool. 1F Goldeneye at the Plawhatch Stream entrance. 2M & 2F Gadwall, 3M & 1F Mandarin, 18 Mallard, 5 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 7 Lapwing, 15+ Cormorant, 25+ Common Gull, 100+ Black-headed Gull, 5 Herring Gull, 5 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Canada Goose, 1 Kestrel, 1 Marsh Tit, 5+ Long-tailed Tit, 2 Great Tit, 2 Blue Tit, 1F Siskin, 3+ Song Thrush, 1 Blackbird, 15+ Fieldfare, 5          Starling, 1 Stock Dove, 10+ Woodpigeon, 1 Dunnock, 1H Treecreeper, 3 Great Spotted Woodpecker. Activity has started in the heronry with at around 4 pairs of Grey Herons standing on nests.

    North Bank – Canoists Car Park End:  1 Great Northern Diver seen preening at 13:30 from the second seat view point (Approx. 150m East along path from Car Park). Also seen Nuthatch, Grey Wagtail & Jay.

    Whillet’s:  11 Lesser Redpoll in Alder trees.

    West End:  1 Kingfisher seen flying near to hide in otherwise foggy conditions.      Feeders: 3 Siskin, 1 Coal Tit, 1 G S Woodpecker, 1 Nuthatch, 6+ Goldfinch were more notable.

    Dam end: 1 Juv Great Northern Diver still, 2M+2F Wigeon, 4M+2F Tufted Duck, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Kestrel, 1 Lapwing, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Pied Wagtail, 106 Greylag, 70 Canada Geese + 1 Canada/Greylag hybrid, c.30 Rook flewover to roost, Bullfinch heard.

    Dam end Gull roost at dusk: c.1500 BH Gull, 70+ Common Gull, 80+ Herring Gull, 1 LBB Gull.

    All reservoir counts: 5 Grey Heron, 4 Moorhen, 6 Coot, 14 Cormorant, 20 Mallard, 12 GC Grebe.

    West End; 10 Stock Dove flyover, 5 Mandarin, 4 Gadwall, 1 Teal, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel, 1 Nuthatch, 3 LT Tit, 1 Coal Tit, 2 Marsh Tit.

    North Bank: 1 Tree Creeper, 1 GS Woodpecker, 1 Song Thrush, 15+ Redwing.

    Whillet’s Pool: 14 flyover Mandarin, 1 Teal, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Water Rail, 3 flyover Snipe, Tawny Owl & Green Woodpecker heard, 1 G S Woodpecker, 6 Redwing   –  Reed-bed roost:  7 Starling, 24 Reed Bunting.
